Hello everyone, welcome to another walkthrough with your host Laian. For starters, story time: I was about to write the walkthrough of «Mansion of Hidden Souls» released for Sega CD and Sega Saturn. It was actually the Sega CD version, considering the other version is a sequel to the Sega CD version. Everthing was going well... until that thing happened. Yes, you know that thing. The thing that stops your progress and irritates the hell out of you. I'm talking about the issue we frequently have: the game crash. For some reasons, everytime I played this game on emulator, Vizzed or not, it does crash at the same exact part: after the candle part. If anyone in charge of the RGR section (maybe tRIUNE) reads this introduction, I wanted to point that out: please, fix that problem the best you can. I'd like to carry on that walkthrough in the future. So yes, I kept the walkthrough of «Mansion of Hidden Souls» somewhere safe for later and I decided to focus on another game. With the time I wasted, trying to see if that problem occurs frequently (like a stubborn man), I had to find a short game. No worries, it's not a game you complete in a few minutes and voila. No, no, it's a game you might think it's not really possible to make a walkthrough. And actually, it is. But you don't want me to ramble too much, you want this walkthrough to start right here and right now. Well then, let's start the amazing adventure of Laian in the wonderful world of The Sim: Bustin' Out, released for GBA. Yes, that's the game I chose for this month. I'm not really proud of me but I have no choice. If you want your monthly walkthrough, you have to expect anything awkward. Well, let's face it, it's not as awkward as a Barbie game. Yes, that could have been worse. Anyway, let's get into it, shall we?

ACT 1

Wait a second, why am I using this term, you might ask? Well, there's a storyline, divided into five missions. Each act has five or six mission to complete. All of that will be the walkthrough. Since it's an open world, like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim or any Legend of Zelda game, you can do some side stuff besides the main story. And it's recommended in this game otherwise you'll go to the hospital so many times. Yes, your Sim can't die in this game, which could suck or be a good thing. To each person, its opinion. So, now that you know the gimmick of this walkthrough, let's start the first mission or part, whatever you say.

MISSION 1: MEET UNCLE HAYSEED

After creating your character, you come to your uncle's house. This will be your house for a while, until you can start the exploration of the town. But you know, everything has a price. You have the hospitality of your uncle, however you must help him, as the good nephew you are. Your first task will be the garden. First of all, talk to your uncle (you'll see a «!» above his head, which means he is an important character of the story). You can skip the tutorial by chossing the second option or go through it if it's your first playthrough. When he asks you if you have something to give to him, answer «I have something for you» and select the family album in your inventory. You'll also learn about acquaintance, which will be kind of important during the game. Surprised by the look of his face, he won't know how to thank you.

Now, here is the fun part: you need to get 30 or so to befriend with your uncle and make some progress. That's what the purpose of any acquaintance. You're supposed to be a good nephew so be polite and respect your uncle. Say nice things, tell some jokes and some gossips (considering he is old cough cough sorry, that was a stupid stereotypical joke I'm not really proud of, oh well). Once you reach 30 (which should be really quick if you say something nice everytime), you'll get a new choice (actually, it's the only option available). Compliment his farm and you'll unlock the next objective.

MISSION 2: WELCOME TO SIMVALLEY

The trip was exhausting so you need to take a shower, eat something and take a nap. Unless you already did that in the meantime or just before talking to Uncle Hayseed, this objective must be completed to unlock the next one. And let's face it, we must take care of us otherwise we'll smell like cow's poop. Use the oven or the fridge to eat something. I suggest you to use the oven, that will take some time to make a dish but you'll fully recover your hunger bar. Go to the bathroom to take a shower and go take a nap on the couch in the living room. You'll also need to use the toilets, something that it's not included in the «to-do» list of this objective. It seems legit though after a long trip unless you have some kind of weird metabolism or you want to make your pants and your underwear dirty, which wouldn't be really convenient. After doing all of that, you can go to the barn.

MISSION 3: INHERIT THE BARN

Time to play the Extreme Makeovers ha ha! You need to take all the stuff in the backyard and decorate your «room» as you wish. You have to place the wood chicken, the broken TV, the fridge, the old couch and the bed. Go to the backyard and grab all that stuff. Yes, I know, it's not luxurious but it's better than nothing. Also, don't try to repair the TV and the fridge at the moment, you'll pass out. After decorating your «room» go talk to your uncle.

MISSION 4: FARMHAND BLUES

After Extreme Makeovers, let's play Bob the Builder. You have to tune up the tractor and repair the broken TV and the fridge. First, tune up the tractor in the courtyard (1). You'll get a skill point for your mechanical skill. You can tune-up the tractor as long as you can to increase your mechanical skill during this objective only. You must tune-up the tractor in priority otherwise you'll pass out if you attempt to repair the fridge and the TV without any mechanical experience as I said earlier. You can repair the two broken items in your barn once you tuned-up the tractor. No need to get a mechanical level 2, a level 1 is enough, don't worry. Well, if you choose so, you can work on your mechanical skills. Keep in mind that the best your skills are, the best you can handle any situation. Skills are mostly important for the promotions but I'll talk about that in the next mission. After you're done with all that stuff, talk to your uncle. It's time to get your first job and earn some cash, woohoo!

MISSION 5: EARN SOME SIMOLEONS

Any player who has played any The Sims game knows about Simoleons and how to get some. Well actually, there's the casual way which is work and sell some stuff and obviously the cheap way which is the cheat codes. Those determine your personality, if you are patient or not and if you're determined to earn money like in real life or as if you've been waiting for a divine intervention, literally said. The problem is... in this game, if you want to make some progress in the main story, you need to complete the objectives of each mission, thing that you've done since you started the game. So why would you stop now? Come on, it's just a garden, it's like washing a car, it's simple like ABC. There's a condition though. You can do that job during daytime. Each job you'll get has this factor. If you are ready for your first job, go talk to Uncle Hayseed and help him to cut the grass with the mower. You have to get rid of as much grass as you can and avoid the rocks and the roses during one minute to complete this mini-game. Each grass cut makes you earn some simoleons and each rose accidentally cut (or on purpose) removes simoleons. The rocks make you spin around like a record for a few seconds so it's not a big deal but try to avoid this obstacle because they can change the direction of the mower. You'll get a promotion at the end of the time as promised if you got enough points. Something to know about promotions: that means more money and obviously difficulty increased. To get a promotion in this game, skills and points are required. You can see all the requirements for the next promotion if you press «select» button and go to «jobs». As always, feel free to play that mini-game as long as you can during daytime to earn some money. Talk to Uncle Hayseed to proceed to the next objective.

ACT 2

MISSION 1: ESCAPE OF THE CHICKENS

Time to catch the chickens and find out who is behind this. There are 8 chickens to find. Here is the location of the chickens:

- 1 in the barn, on the stairs,

- 1 in the barn, in the room with the toilets,

- 2 outside the farm,

- 1 in the bar, in the restrooms (yeah...),

- 1 next to the bar outside,

- 1 on the parking, next to the store,

- 1 in the park in front of the store.

This mission is interesting considering you will go outside the farm at last, which means you'll meet the other people of SimValley such as Detective Dan D. Mann who is the person you must talk to learn more about that chickens problem. You can start new relationships, go to the bar (opened from 10:00 am to 2:00 am), buy new stuff to the store (opened from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm)... Some people might have some side quests to give you, for example bring something to a person. Once completed, you'll get some extra relationship points but you'll also get some cash. You can also collect lot of junk lying on the ground such as the aluminium can next to the bar (2). It'll be useful for a side stuff later in the game. Once you got all the chickens and talked to Detective Dan. D. Mann, go talk to your uncle.

MISSION 2: SHOPPING TIME

Time to buy a shower and get rid of that old couch. The bartender should be interested in this apparently. Go in your barn, take the old couch and go talk to the bartender to sell it. As for the shower, there should be one on sale for 130 simoleons. Buy it and go back to the farm. Uncle Hayseed tells you that you should talk to Detective Dan D. Mann. He has something for you. Let's go see him.

MISSION 3: SERVE THE PUBLIC

You now have to find Nora (if you haven't met her yet) and talk to her until you reach a relationship up to 10. You also have to attend a general store auction that takes place in the general store from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. I suggest you to work for your uncle and/or deliver some items because you'll probably need lot of money, depending on what's on sale for the auction. In order to accomplish this task, you must win the auction at all cost. During each auction, you raise the bid and may win the product on sale. What's the product, may you ask? Well, it's up to you. You have the choice between four items. There's the price but this is not the starting bid. The bid starts from 0 and can be raised to any amount of simoleons. There's a tip, a risky tip tough. Considering you have a few seconds for the bid, let the other people raise the bid, look who has the highest bid and raise yours a bit more than the current highest bid. It works most of the time. It's a good way to get some stuff for a cheap price. For example, I chose during my playthrough the SteriLife Bathroom Countertop that was usually on sale for 50 simoleons and I got it for 40 simoleons only, which means I saved 10 simoleons. Once you did all of that, go talk to the detective then to your uncle. There's another problem: the bikers block the way with their bikes and he asks you to talk to the leader to fix the problem. Fine... Find a tough guy looking like the one on this screenshot (3): It's Dusty Hogg, the leader of the bikers. He is really upset because he lost his helmet and his bike is broken. I think it's a job for Bob the Bui- cough cough sorry. For us, that's what I meant (oh god...).

MISSION 4: CLEAR THE ROADBLOCK

Ok, you know the deal. Fix the bike, find the helmet and calm Dusty Hogg down. Fixing his bike shouldn't be a problem since you tuned-up Uncle Hayseed's lawmower earlier. Just stand in front of the bike and select «repair» to fix it. Now let's find the helmet. Go to the park and you'll find the helmet in the corner. Now let's talk to Dusty Hogg and give the helmet back to him. Plus, let's say we repaired his bike, he should be happy. But that's not enough. If you don't have a relationship up to 25, you won't be able to complete that mission.Once you've done all that stuff, you'll learn that he is worried about his friend. Select the first answer and you will unlock a new mini-game (or job) and the next mission. The mini-game is in the bar next to the counter.

MISSION 5: GET SOME WHEELS!

In order to complete that mission, you must go to the bar between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm in order to play the mini-game you just unlocked. In this mini-game, you'll act like a bartender. You have to serve the bikers with milk-shakes, beers and lemonades... the stylish way, yeah! Pay attention to their taste otherwise they will throw the drink away. As you can see, there's some rounds on the counter with any drink drawn within. You have to make the drink slide to the specific round, the closest you can. You win more simoleons if the drink comes right in the round. How to throw the drinks? Press A once to stop the angle and one more time to stop the speed bar. This mini-game is a mix of accuracy and strenght. Keep in mind that the drinks can make ricochets, which might come in handy. Like the first mini-game, you'll get the promotion if you have enough points but you'll have to be a good bartender and serve these drinks correctly and with style to have the other promotions. Talk to Dusty Hogg once you're done with this job. You'll get three new objectives. You have to repaint his bike, collect five aluminium cans and bring them back to VirtueChem. Yes, these cans as shown on the screenshot 2. You can find them pratically everywhere outside. One of the spots where they frequently appear is next to the bar as shown on the screenshot 2. Collect five of these then head to the lab. You might wonder where this building is. When you started the game, you saw a roadblock next to the farm. Now, it's gone and you can explore the eastern part of the town. Actually, you can explore all the town considering the bikes are no longer blocking the way. VirtueChem Lab is next to the hospital, after the gym. It's opened from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Yes, apparently scientists like to work during nighttime in SimValley. Go in, talk to the scientist and sell your aluminium cans. Here is another way to earn some money: find some junks and mices and bring them back to the scientist. Simple like ABC. Also, the potion you can buy fully recovers your stamina (which is represented by the armchair). Go talk to Dusty Hogg once everything is done and you'll get the scooter. It'll be waiting for you right in front of the barn. Talk to your uncle to proceed to the next mission.

 MISSION 6: MOVING OUT

Yes, time to move to a new house. You need to ask Giuseppi Mezzoalto for that task. You also have to make a new friend, which shouldn't be a problem if you have talked to any other person until now and get a new job promotion, which shouldn't be a big deal either. Ah and you need to pay your uncle for hishospitality, 500 simoleons exactly. Yes, that's a lot of money but it's fair considering he gave you the hospitality (but geez, 500 simoleons? Really, uncle?). If you have enough money, pay your uncle otherwise go back to work, do some delivery and sell some stuff until you have 500 simoleons. Now, go talk to Giuseppi MezzoAlto. Unless you already met him, this guy spends his night next to the bar and has a black cap. Tell him about your intention of moving to another place and he will rent you a crate. Your new house is the clocktower. Well, at least there's more space. Open the crate, place all your stuff as you wish and return the crate. Now that you live on your own, you will have to pay... the bills, weeeeeeee!

ACT 3

Here is where the things get serious. The next missions can be unlocked in any order, which is nice. All you have to do is talk to the person who will give you the mission. That is why I'm going to use some screenshots but you can easily recognized them considering they automatically have a «!» above their head. Keep in mind that the screenshots don't necessarily show where you can find them. They can be anywhere and everywhere in SimValley so look closely everywhere (or make a call with any phone to know their current location if you have already met them).

MISSION 1: AT THE WATERFRONT

You must talk to Olde Salty who is a captain (4). During this mission, you'll have to impress the fisherman O. Phil McClean, then get a mechanical level 2 (which should be ok considering you have repaired the mower and the bike earlier) and finally buy a fishing pole and a fishing book. You'll usually find the fisherman on the docks of the town during daytime, he wears a yellow coat and has a fishing pole. Get a relationship up to 40 then go to the general store to buy the fishing pole for 105 simoleons. Next up, the good fishing book. You can buy one at the shop nearby the beach. It costs 20 simoleons only. You can also buy some flyers, a gold ring... Keep in mind that the shop is opened from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Once you got the book, go talk to the fisherman. You can now play the mini-game Bait Flinger from 3 am to 3 pm. In this mini-game, you have to fish. That's it. Just choose your lure, press A to stop the angle, then once more for the power and, once you caught a fish, press the A button repeatly to get it. You'll win some simoleons according to the size of the fish. You'll get a promotion as always if you have enough points. The other promotions, well you know the score I suppose. The skills and the points are required and can be viewed in the «jobs» menu.

MISSION 2: THE RAGING CHICKEN COMPETITION

You have to talk to Vernon Greeves to get that mission (5). That guy wanted to join the gym but he has been flabbergasted by the price of the fee. In this mission, you must befriend with Eddie Renalin, have a body skill level 2 and pay the membership fee that costs 200 simoleons. There are two ways to get a body skill level 2: either you use the punching balls in the gym or you go learn some stuff about body in the library. Once you have reached that level, go talk to Eddie Renalin (6) and pay the membership fee if you have enough money. Don' forget to talk to him to increase your relationship bar with him in order to complete the mission. You can now use the elevator in the gym to go to the second, use the stuff there to increase your body and charisma skills and play the new mini-game: Bodylifter. That mini-game is not that hard if you have the good timing. You need to press A repeatly then press «down» when you see the arrow, then press A repeatly and press «up» to lift the barbell and gain some money. Each success will add more weight so a bit of difficulty but you'll get more money if you manage to lift the barbell. You have three attempts if you fail. Once you failed three times, the mini-game ends and you collect all the money you got. That mini-game is available from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

MISSION 3: LIBRARY CARD

You must talk to the person in charge of the library to get that mission. That person is called Hester Primm (7). She will tells you that the library is closed because of bookworms. Help her to get rid of these bugs once and for all. If you do that, you'll also have to read a chapter of his first cookbook (to learn how to cook, yeah...) and return the books borrowed by some people living in SimValley. Oh come on, your reward will be a free library card, how could you refuse, hmmm? You have to return 3 books. Go talk to each person with a «!» above its head, it might have a book and/or a new mission (yes, it's possible considering it's non-linear at this point of the game and you can do any mission you want anytime you want). After collecting three books (you are allowed to collect more if you choose so, that will help to increase your relationship with Hester), go whack the bookworms in the library. The library is opened from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. And yes, once inside... whack'em all, to the last one! Don't be scared, they won't hurt you. Step on them to kill them, that's all you have to do. Don't forget there's a second floor. Now, while you're here, find a book dealing with cooking and read it. You can also read the other books to increase your skills as you wish but you must read in priority a cookbook to learn cooking and make some progress. Now go back and talk to Hester to return the books and end that mission.

MISSION 4: THE RISE OF CLUB RUBB

For this mission, go talk to the cow-girl named Bucki Brock (8). She will tell you about her passion for polka and how she lost her first love (ah, differences). She will also tell you about a club that has been closed because the owner screwed his business up. Answer «I like polka» to cheer her up and tell her you will try to re-open the club. You need to find the original owner in order to get the permission and the cop who closed the club and befriend with him. You also have to pay the debt (1000 simoleons, wooo that's a lot of money, oh well) and then give some flyers to advertise the re-opening of the club. The cop who closed the club is Detective Dan D. Mann. Ask him about the club and he'll answer that he was supposed to close it because of the debt the owner had to pay. When he says the price, don't try to negociate. Accept to pay 1000 simoleons then come back and talk to him once you'll get the cash. You also have to befriend with him. It shouldn't be a problem if you keep a good relationship with him since last time you talked to him. Now, who is the owner? Well, who WAS the owner considering the club is closed? The man you must talk to is called Maximilian Moore and has an afro haircut (9). Get the permission from him and learn more about that story. Now, time to promote the re-opening of the club. Go buy some flyers at that shop in which you bought the good fishing book. You have to buy 10 flyers and give one to each Sims you want. I know, your inventory has enough space for 8 flyers (well, less if you have some stuff), which means you'll have to come back later in order to buy the rest of the flyers and give them to some other Sims. Once you took care of this, go talk to Detective Dan D. Mann to re-open the Club Rubb and end that mission.

MISSION 5: DEEP DARK SECRETS

This mission is given by Giuseppi Mezzoalto. You know how he looks like considering you met him during the mission 6 of the act 2. You'll find him behind the giant mall, next to a black van during nighttime. During this mission, you'll need to find a crowbar and the city blueprints hidden in... the clocktower. Yes, the place you live. There's a hidden trapdoor inside. Also, you'll have to lower the maintenance ladders. Ok let's start with the crowbar. Go talk to Uncle Hayseed and you'll get a crowbar. Now, go to the clocktower, find the trapdoor and go in the basement, you'll find the blueprints lying on the floor (10). Now, head to the llibrary and locate the sewers (I hate sewers!) somewhere nearby. Go down, press the button and go talk to Giuseppi. Give the blueprints to him to end that mission. Now, you can use the sewers in order to go anywhere you want.

MISSION 6: MOVING OUT

This mission is really simple. It's time to move once more... to a villa this time though. With lot of flowers. A lovely villa that you might have seen in the meantime, it's nearby the shop in which you could buy the flyers. And yes, there's a pet shop next to the villa. Anyway, you must complete the other missions first then talk to Nicki Knack. She is the owner of that lovely villa apparently. However, no one wants to live in here. Tell her you'd like to live in this villa and she will ask you three things: first, you must have 4 friends. Simple like ABC I suppose. Second, you must have 2 promotions in the following mini-games: bodylifter and/or bait fishing. Yes, you can get the promotions in one mini-game only, it does the trick. And finally, you have to pay 3000 simoleons to Nicki Knack. See, it's really simple. And considering you're going to move to another place, let's call our dear pal Giuseppi, weeeee! Yes, go talk to him and move out to the villa. And you know the score: you open the crate, you take back your stuff from the crate, you place the items and your return the crate.

ACT 4

MISSION 1: EXPERIENCE THE PARANORMAL

This mission is given by Claire Clutterbell. She tells you that she saw a ghost last night who wanted to rest in peace. Claire asks you if you can do anything with this ghost: accept the task. For this mission, you need to pick the rusty lock, then find a ghostly gift for the ghost, get a logic level 4 to learn «crazy talk» and finally answer the ghost's riddles. Go to the library in order to improve your logic skills (or play chess, it also does the trick). Let's find the ghostly gift, shall we? Locate the Imperial Estates, go there, then go in the sewers and find the urn. Now go back to the ladder you did climb down, don't climb it up cross the bridge and climb up the other ladder to the left. Here you are outside the haunted shack. You'll see the gate to lock pick. If you have a mechanical level 3 or so, you will manage to pick the rusty lock. Otherwise, go to the library and study mechanical to improve your skill. Once the gate is opened, you can go in the shack. Make sure it's midnight otherwise you won't see the ghost. Save before talking to him. Now, when you talk to him, compliment him about his speech until he tells you that if you answer five riddles, you can take all his belongings. Accept the challenge and answer «2» (the inside and the outside of the circle), then «banana» (you must peel the banana to eat it), then «11» (which is the number of letters «THE ALPHABET» has in the riddle), then «H» (the only letter that you can flip upside down like the others mentioned in the riddle) and finally «a glove». You answered the riddles and now have the respect of the ghost. Give the urn to him to unlock the secret cellar. You can take all the stuff in this cellar (even the plant, yes ), it's yours. Do what you want cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate cough cough no, I meant do what you want with these things. Also, just in case you're wondering, the mission is over. Once you give the urn to the ghost.

MISSION 2: ART FOR ART'S SAKE

Talk to Dashell Swank to get that mission (11). He is upset because the mayor doesn't want to build a place for creative people. He asks you to find the Lover's leap, located at the end of the maze and paint the scenery with the stuff there. Accept the task, go to the park and cross the maze. You must go east to the branching path in order to find the easel. Now, paint that masterpiece then go back and talk to Dashell. I don't think you need a specific creative skill level to paint it. I was level 8 and automatically gained one level after finishing the painting up. Dashell, surprised by the quality of the painting, will ask you how much you want for this painting. Answer a million, it won't hurt your relationship. He'll buy the painting 5000 simoleons, which is really nice. Accept that amount of money to end the mission.

MISSION 3: ROCK STAR!

You can get that mission if you talk to Mel Odius. Poor Mel, he wanted to become a rockstar but he doesn't have what it takes to be in Vera's band. Time to get your chance and become a rockstar. You have lot of things to do. First: you need a guitar, your own guitar in your house. Second, you have to improve your creative skill level to 3 and your charisma skill level to 2. Third, you must have a popularity up to 25. Fourth, you must befriend Vera and impress her considering she is the leader of the band. And finally, you need to find a place to jam. If you want a popularity up to 25, there's no secret: talk to everyone and get a high and good relationship with every character. As for the guitar, don't even bother to ckeck the stores, go talk to Giuseppi Mezzoalto and go check his van behind the big mall during nighttime. Now, a place to jam... hmmm who could help us? Let's go talk to our Uncle Hayseed. Hey look, he agrees, how kind of him! I don't really have to tell you what you must do in order to increase your skills, the library is your friend and the gym (for the charisma of course). You can also work on these skills at home if you have the specifics items for this. Now, time to talk to Vera Vex and get a good relationship up to 50. Now you can go to the Club Rubb and play the mini-game located on the stage. This game is simple. You just have to press the buttons when they appear in the green bar to raise the red bar in the top-left hand corner and earn some cash. Try to keep the beat in order to get lot of points and get a promotion at the end of the session.

MISSION 4: PIZZA PANDEMONIUM

This mission is unlocked once you talked to Lottie Cash. In this mission, you must befriend the cook (a relationship up to 60 is required), get a cooking skill level 5 and pay the show entry fee that costs 2000 simoleons to Lottie Cash. Nothing really hard. Go to the library and study cooking to increase your cooking skill until you reach level 5, then go talk to Chet. R. Chase to befriend him. Once you did all these tasks, go talk to Lottie Cash to pay the show entry fee and unlock Pizza Pandemonium, the new mini-game. You can play it from 11 am to 10 pm. You'll also know that she bought the restaurant and the TV station for the TV show. This mini-game is fun to play, I really enjoyed it. You have to match your pizza with Chet's pizza. How? Well, you see all the ingredients floating and scrolling above the pizza. You have to toss the pizza by pressing A button when the specific ingredient is above the pizza. Don't forget to press L or R buttons to switch to another slice and avoid the anchovies. Sims don't like anchovies. Also, you can move the pizza to the left and to the right with the directions (thing that I actually was not aware of until I discover it... Ah, silly me ^^ ). If the pizzas match, you earn some simoleons. That's all you have to do. If you do a good score (I think you need 100 points), you'll get the promotion.

MISSION 5: CHAMPION OF SIMVERSE

This mission is available once you talked to Daddy Bigbucks. He'll tell you about the SimValley Triathlon. Triathlon means three events: the bullriding record, boxing and catching the Velcoci-Rooster. You need to beat the bullriding record at the Country Cafe, Mad Willy Hurtzya at the gym and catch that grey and crazed animal that you might have encountered once in this game. This time, he will run away from you. The Veloci-Rooster is frequently outside the Dockside Restaurant. To catch him, step on him and press A button twice to put in your pocket. You now have the Veloci-Rooster, he won't harass you and the other Sims now. Time to take care of the two last events. You need to train, to improve your body skill. Go to the gym. There's also Mad Willy Hurtzya on the ring at the gym, the one you must fight and beat. If you don't have a good body level, you'll pass out and immediately go to the hospital. That's why I suggest you to improve your body skill until you reach leve 6 for this event and the bullriding record. Now, if you want to beat the record, you need full stamina at all cost. Once you've done all the events, go talk to Daddy Bigbucks to end this mission and earn 1000 simoleons.

MISSION 6: MOVING OUT

Yes, time to move out once more. Daddy Bigbucks gives you this mission right after «Champion of Simverse». In order to complete this mission, you must do three things. First, you need to have 8 friends. A friend is symbolized by some smileys in the background when you talk to any person. Second, you need to get 3 promotions in the mini-games «Jam Session» and/or «Pizza Chef». Last thing to do, you must pay the down payment, which costs 10000 simeleons. Yes, I'm not kidding. 10000 simoleons and you can't negociate. Well, you're going to live in a mansion so it has to be expensive. So, unless you saved lot of money since the beginning of the game, you'll have to do lot of errands and work hard for the money. Once you took care of everything, you can move out to Daddy Bigbucks' mansion. Don't forget to talk to Giuseppi.

ACT 5

MISSION 1: A MONUMENTAL ACCOMPLISHMENT

This mission is given by Detective Dan D. Mann. The mayor asked him to find a sculptor capable of making a statue for the mayor. The problem is... Detective Dan D. Mann hasn't started this project considering he was busy (well, he is a detective, why didn't the mayor ask someone else about this seriously? Well, it would have been the same thing with another person, you might say and I'll agree with you). So you must help him. How? Well you must ask someone if he knows a sculptor, get his phone number and call the sculptor to hire him for the project. Next up, you need to collect 30 aluminium can, considering the statue will be made of aluminium. And finally, you need a better popularity (up to 50 exactly). For the popularity, no secret: talk to all the Sims until you reach that milestone. As for the aluminium cans, you can find these items around SimValley, they are frequent. Don't sell them to the scientist, keep them. As for the sculptor, you must talk to Daschell Swank, considering he really likes art so he should know a sculptor. Yes, and he gives you his phone number. Now, you can call the sculptor with your phone (the one you have at the Imperial Estate, your home). Ah one more thing to know about the sculptor: he is not going to sculpt until you are well respected. Once everything is done, go talk to Detective Dan D. Mann to end the mission.

MISSION 2: THE LOONY LEMMINGS

Go talk to Duane Doldrum to start that mission. He will tell you about the Loony Lemmings, a group of people who disappeared for some odd reasons and Duane wants to know what happened. He asked Misty Waters and she didn't want to answer him. So it's your turn. You need to pester her. Yes, pester Misty Waters, which means get a bad relationship. Actually, I was so sad when I had to do this mission bcause my relationship with her was one of the best relationships I had at this point of the game. I even wanted her to move with me but she did kindly refuse my offer so many times. Maybe I wasn't so handsome and strong for her or maybe she cares about his boyfriend, oh well. You imagine that I didn't feel like pestering her. But, it's the purpose of the walkthrough: I have to tell what you must do to complete the mission so, in other words, I must play the game and stay strong. It'll take some time to pester her considering, at one point, she will ignore you and won't talk to you for a while so you'll have to wait a few days to carry on that task. However there's a tip: say something bad twice or three times, then end the discussion and start another discussion. Do this as long as you need to get a bad relationship with her down to -50. Now, you can access the cliffs. You should have noticed a fence nearby Country Cafe, now it's gone. Go there to find the cliffs. Now, go talk to Misty Waters. You can play the mini-game «Cliff Diver X» as long as you wish. It's kind of like the event of the Olympics Games. You have to execute some acrobatics while diving with the directional pad and press down then up to end the session. It's not just a matter of acrobatics and skills, it's also a matter of timing, considering if you don't press down or up, your attempt will be screwed up. You have three attempts, like the mini-game «Bodylifter». The best your performance is, the more simoleons you'll get.

MISSION 3: TAKE OVER THE TOWN!

Would you like to be mayor of SimValley? If the answer is «yes», this mission is for you. First, talk to Nora. She'll tell you that she has a position and doesn't want to be mayor. Tell her you want to be the mayor. Unfortunately, the fisherman O. Phil McClean is your rival in this mission. Yes, he wants to be a mayor but Nora tells you that he wouldn't do a good job so she asks you to persuade him to drop out, which means you need to get a bad relation with him (-50 exactly). Also, you need more popularity, 60 to be exact. Yes, this act is basically a rollercoaster of popularity and relationships. And finally, you must give 10000 simoleons to Nora for the campaign. I don't actually need to tell you what you are supposed to do, it's obvious I guess. Errands, selling stuff and jobs for the money and talk to people for your popularity. Now, if you want to get rid of the fisherman for the position of mayor, just talk to him and use the same tip I told you earlier when you had to pester Misty Waters. Say something bad twice or three times, end the discussion, then start another discussion with him (and etc etc) until you have a relationship down to -50. He will tell you he quit the election once and for all but he had not intention to be mayor. Ok... Time to go talk to Nora and end the mission.

MISSION 4: MYSTERY OF THE COSMOS

This mission is given to you by Maximilian Moore and can be skipped if you want to play the game forever. Just don't accomplish the first task of this mission, it's simple like ABC. In this mission, you must make a significant scientific discovery, get a relationship up to 80 with Daddy Bigbucks in order to get a grant and get a logic skill level 7. You know how to improve your skills, right? Yes, the library or some stuff such as the computer or the telescope. As for the relationship with Daddy Bigbucks, well you got used of this, didn't you? No secret. Once you'll get a high relationship with him, he will give you a grant. Also, ask him about the significant scientific discovery. He will tell you that a meteorite crashed to the north but hasn't been discovered yet. It's exactly located in the barn of Uncle Hayseed's farm. Save your progress here if you want to play this game forever, over and over again as long as you wish because, once this task will be done, the end is almost there. Go to the farm to notice that the tractor doesn't block the entrance of the barn, go in then open the door aaaaaaaaaand... magic! A trap door just appeared. Open it to go down and... wait a second, what's this? A spaceship, here? Say what? Whatever. DO NOT repair it, just take it (yes, take the spaceship and put in your pocket, don't ask any questions, it's game logic ) and leave the barn. Once you've done all these tasks, go talk to Maximilian Moore to end the mission and unlock the last mini-game: Petri-dish. This mini-game is totally random. It's like rolling a luck dice. In fact, let me explain this to you: you have to be clever and lucky. Clever because those mutagens thingies turn the other things nearby into another color (which can be good or bad) and you need to get rid of as many germs as you can. And random because of the mutagens and their power. This mini-game is kind of obnoxious and will take some time to master it and get the promotions. However, there's some kind of tip: get rid of the huge bunch of germs to get lot of points. The more you annihilate, the best it is.

MISSION 5: APPRENHEND THE VAN MAN

It's a mission given by Vera Vex. Her guitar has been stolen by... Giuseppi Mezzoalto (that rogue). She could ask the police for help but yes... she is not a good friend of cops. So she asks you to help her to apprehend Giuseppi. How? You have to set a trap. You need a camera and Detective Dan D. Dann's help. If you want him to cooperate with you, you must get a relationship up to 60. Now, where to find a camera? Maybe Nicki Knack's Bric-a-brac has one on sale for you. Go there and buy the FotoFlash Camera if there's one, otherwise come back later. Now, time to get the proof. Go to your uncle's house. Oh god, Giuseppi is stealing Uncle Hayseed's furniture! And your uncle is the hostage! You must do something! Go talk to Giuseppi, take the picture and here comes the detective to the rescue (I honestly didn't know he mastered psychic powers in his spare time, oh well game logic I suppose xD ). Now that Giuseppi is in jail, you can go talk to Vera Vex to end the mission.

MISSION 6: SUMMER'S END

Here we are. The last mission of the story mode. In order to get it, you must have 13 friends. Remember that a friend is recognized by a high relationship and some smileys in the background when you talk with him or her. You also need 3 promotions in the mini-games Cliff Diver X and/or Mad scientist. Then, you must repair the rocket and move it to the mansion. Ok, so I don't have to tell you how to do for the promotions and the friends, you should know about these two things. Once you've done with that, go back to the Imperial Estate and go outside to see a launchpad (12). Put the spaceship and repair it. You are now ready to go where you come from. Yes, Uncle Hayseed tells you the truth: you are a martian. Time to say goodbye to all the people you met here, in SimValley, before going back home. This was the last mission, this is the end of the story, the end of summer... or not! In any case, you just beat The Sims: Bustin' Out. Enjoy the final cutscene and the credits.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this walkthrough. I see you next time for another adventure. I still don't know which game but I have some time left to find one. Bye and take care, folks

Wow... This was a really amazing guide. You had a ton in it that shows how great of a guide maker you are. You were able to make it so that it is easy to follow and to use. You also used pictures to make it more clear what you were talking about, and you explained everything quite clearly. Nice job!
