So there's a lot of debate over which Super Smash Bros. game is the best. They're all completely different, especially Melee and Brawl. I'm also including Project M because its awesome and deserves more recognition (even though it already has a ton).

So which game in the series do you like? There SSB64 for those of you who like an original, SSBM for those of you who are more into competitive play and medium variety, SSBB for those of you who like massive?variety, and PM (Project M) for those of you who who want a more balanced game as well as merging Melee and Brawl together.

Myself, I've always loved Melee. I've grown up playing it with my family since as long as I can remember. I also love the physics engine and stuffs. I just seem to enjoy it a lot more... And Fox somehow has magical powers in Melee that give him insane comboing abilities.

I have to say Melee. It has always been my favorite, and will probably always be my favorite. It is more advanced than the original, but not as overdone as Brawl.

I vote for Super Smash Bros Brawl for the win!! I actually haven't played much of Melee before except at my friends house!!

I find Super Smash Bros Melee my favorite. I always played it, I find the character roster is just a little bit better than Super Smash Bros Brawl. Super Smash Bros Melee was one of the first games I've played on the gamecube, and its create to play with friends! Hopefully when the new one comes out for Wii U and 3DS will be great! 

I'm not a huge fan of SSB, but my favorite is SSBB. Brawl is amazing overall and it has everything.

I am also excited for the Wii U version of this.

I will have to go with brawl. I have played all of them, except for project m, and it is just more fun.

My favorite is Melee because that is the only one that I actually owned a copy of and thus was able to play the most of. I did play all of the others aside for PM. I love the graphics, the physics, and It is a nostalgic game for me.

The best ssb game is melee.i own that one and brawl, but I do like melee better. The characters are better, and it is more fun to play because of the GameCube controller. The game is just more simple to get the hang of.

I personally have an insanely difficult time picking one of the three over the other. I love the original because when I was a kid (like 5 years old) my mom took me to a game store and said I can get one game. After looking around I saw the enormous super smash bros box and noticed it was for Nintendo 64 which I knew I had. I think that was my first ever smash experience.
Flash forward about 5 years and I am at my older brothers house playing the next big thing super smash bros. melee. When I saw the roster in comparison to the original my mind was blown. I couldn't comprehend what I was seeing. When I finally got the game and a Nintendo Gamecube for myself I was hooked. I always played with Roy but my most memorable moment was when I beat the final two challenges in event mode with Yoshi and Jigglypuff. 
And finally when the Wii comes out, Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I could not contain my hype. It finally happened, I could play the third installment of my favorite game. Even after I got Melee I still played the original and now even after Brawl I still play Melee. And I can guarantee that after the new one comes out I will still play all of them. I just love them all equally.

In all honestly SSBM is a better game. But I can't pick it as my favorite because of all the fun I had with my friends playing Brawl.

Plus I really enjoyed the Subspace Emissary storyline WAY more than I thought I would. 

I have to say that SSBB was my favorite of the 3, but SSBM comes in at an incredibly close 2nd. It's just the variety and awesome selection of new and original characters that barely puts it above SSBM. Still, I do miss Roy often.
