Yeah, that sounds interesting. There's a lot of fun to be had with clans on servers of all types. A huge plus with a vizzed clan would be the ease of communication, on and off Minecraft.

This seems like a great idea! I'm not so into Minecraft anymore, what with all the extremely long marathons I went on that I became bored of it, but something like this could actually bring me back to Minecraft. Like you said, Vizzed Minecraft Clan is probably the best name for it, unless someone wanted to end up stylizing the name or something. It would probably also be a good idea to have a separate thread here (in Iggy's Minecrafter's Village or Video Games or Whatever) to use for the clan specifically so that everyone can communicate with each other besides only having  the aforementioned diary thread.

An smp would be better than a faction server if you don't wanna be raided or griefed. You'll need your own private server through.

earthwarrior : There is that but that would kinda remove competition with other clans since I doubt I'll be able to get many users outside of vizzed to play. I guess if we used my role system we could have to most isomatic users will play guards and fight off any intruders and we could get miners and architects to design a safe hard to reach base. If we do get raided I guess it is just a common factor of multiplayer Minecraft.

If the Vizzed server becomes successful with users here I am sure we will have plugins so our items and buildings our safe.

I don't see anything of importance that we've missed. Of course, we'll need to give some thought about which server(s) we ultimately choose.

Two minor ideas:
- clan symbol designed out of minecraft blocks -- a competition, possibly
- thematic builds, possibly

MechaMento : A roleplaying/rank system? Why, saying if someone finds diamond they are gonna use them, for their own use. Not to give to others of course.

GreenTurtle : The miner role is to mine for resources. If they find diamonds it's for the team not him or her though they could probably keep a fraction of the total. The most reliable (highest rank) user will get a Diamond tool. But the clan is in complete and ideas are not confirmed so anything can happen.
You will be thinking it is unfair but if a noob finds Diamonds and gets a load of Diamond tools that would kind of spoil the point of ranking up. And it is also a factor of trust.
But as I said nothing has been confirmed yet so if a overwhelming amount of people don't like the rank system then they will have it their way.


EideticMemory : Sounds great! Though making a logo out of minecraft blocks will be hard. I think it would work if we all had skins with that logo on would work better. Or maybe even class specific skins with the logo on. I could make some skins for each role and we could put stripes on arms to determine the rank.
If the VMC is successful, which it looks like it is so far, you could run the logo competition if you wanted.

MechaMento : I'd totally like to join this if it ever becomes a thing. I would have to see what kind of jobs are needed first before setting my role though, but this sounds like it could be fun.

So that you are thinking about classes I have some in mind. ( Hopefully this Vizzed Minecraft will exist ) 

Miner - Basically the minecrafter, searches for Coal, Diamonds etc.

Farmer - The farmer would search for animals, farm them, create crops. etc.

Thief - ( If Its on Faction Server ) The Thief can raid other buildings and steal/destroy others.

Warrior/Guard - The person will defend, kill others, hunt etc.

Wizard - Potion Maker etc.

MechaMento : Thats the point. On smp servers you're supposed to work together to become a strong community. There isnt any raiding or griefing.
I don't think you'll have enough people to fill a server with multiple clans.

Also thats not how factions works. No one is gonna sit there for hours to watch if enemies are coming. You need to get a well defended base and if you hear tnt or see names then you get your faction together and fight.

As far as playing and building a home on servers I'd probably have to pass on that one. However if we were playing a game like hunger games, walls, death run, battle domes, etc then I may be in. I would even be willing to skype with the person if they are 16+. Taken that it meets time standards and enough players are joining. I could host the server on occasion if everyone would be okay with it and little to none lag is present and I most likely won't play if we are joining a public server where it's all a giant cluster with us trying to get into one game.

However I haven't entirely ruled out the idea of playing on a survival server, it would have to be pvp and all that though. Unlike other people I don't mind griefing and enjoy a little war and battle here and then. I could probably make a good miner, fighter of builder.
