I find it odd that there isn't already a thread about biking here... I mean, I've searched for it on Google and I've used my browser's find feature and I haven't found it. So I apologize if this is a duplicate thread.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone here like to ride on bicycles. Road biking, mountain biking, even BMX biking. Anyone here do it?

Myself, I have a pretty sweet mountain bike. I think it's a 21-gear bike, and it works great. It has really good shocks, too, so it's good for me since I don't like to go off bumps that are
too bumpy. In the summertime I bike every single day, just for fun. It feels good to use your leg muscles to climb up a hill on your bike, and it feels even better when you're cruising back down the hill.

I just biked about 6 miles round-trip today, about half of the trip there was uphill (which about kills me to bike 1.5+ miles uphill). I biked way up my road, across, down, across a couple times (I was waiting for my mother to catch up, she was walking while I was biking), then way up, and then I went back home. But when I was about a mile away from my house it started hailing. Yeah, it was hailing while I was biking. When I was almost to my house it started hailing into my face... Yeah, that was pretty painful, but it was only brief.

For me, I really don't like mountain biking too much. I'm definitely into thrill, but I get massive bruises from mountain biking. But I still really love to bike on roads and paved walkways/bike trails.

So how about you? Do you like to bike? Mountain biking or road biking? What kind of bike do you have? Share your biking experiences here in this thread!

I never really officially learned how to ride a bike, because I thought it was to scary to rife with just two wheels when I was young. I did manage to eventually get the hang of it when I was about 18 and now I am saving up to get my own bike, I don't know what kind yet, maybe a safe one.

You certainly bring up a good point and I had never really thought much about this until you brought it up, I like to ride my bike whenever I can and I think I am going to need a new bike because my old one is too small, and it is too cold to enjoy it. But in the summertime I like to ride my bike around whenever I can.

Now that I think about it, is rather odd that there aren't really many threads let alone a forum that discusses with bike riding. So I am glad that you brought it up.

I hadn't ride bikes for years..... I live in a city and I find it that you can't ride your mountain bike anywhere because of all the busy streets and stuff!! I just personally think that riding a mountain bike in a town is much better than riding one in a city!!

Awesome-Kid : My brother lives in Salt Lake City (Utah's major city) and he rides a bike about everywhere. It's good if you don't have enough money for a metro/train/bus.
