Yes, it's just another newbie thread.

The name's Andae, and I'm one of the more diverse gamers I know IRL, and one of  a rare breed of retro gamers that I've physically met, it's a pleasure to meet you all, and I hope to play some great games alongside you all, helping out in any way that I can.

For an idea of the games I play, I'll give you a brief overview of the consoles I own (New and old.) and a brief summary of my most played games, I'll leave that at a top ten, or we'll be here for days, seriously, I physically own over 1,000 titles, individually, if they were broken down into series'/franchises... that number would be significantly smaller, but still well over the 500 mark >.>.

Anyways, now for that list.

Consoles:

Sega Master System.
Sega Game Gear.
Sega Mega Drive.
Sega Genesis.
NES.
SNES.
Game Boy Colour (I'm British... Sorry about the extra U's >.>)
Game Boy Advance.
Nintendo DS.
PSX
PS2
Xbox Crystal (The see through version of that bulky thing with the 'X' on top of it.)
Xbox 360.

Games, Top Ten, because we'll be here forever otherwise:

10. Pokemon, any game. Not number ten because I dislike them, but because they're all practically the same, really.
9. Mario, same as above, really.
8. Resident Evil, excellent, but, can be samey in my opinion.
7. MegaMan. I grew up playing this game on the NES, frankly, it's become somewhat of a friend to me.
6. The Legend of Zelda. Another friend of mine, however, one can only save the princess Zelda so many times before you lose interest a little
5. Digimon World (1, 2 & 2003) these games have been played into oblivion on my end, and I'm still yet to finish even one of them...
4. Command & Conquer. Both the regular and RA series', I can play these games until the end of time and never get bored.
3. Harvest Moon. Yes, after all of the action packed games listed above, I can't help but love me some Harvest Moon, problem? No? Good.
2. Tetris. Yes, it's here, at the number 2 spot, Actually, I've got my Gameboy on my lap right now, with a 4 hour game paused, it's a serious addition, if you've not been sucked in yet, avoid, at all costs.
1. Final Fantasy. Y'know, I don't think I've ever 100%'ed any of these, sure, I've completed the stories, spend days on end playing mini-games, but never fully completed a single one of these games... Ever.

So yeah, that's a little on me, if you wanna know anything, give me a holler, I'm happy to answer any questions you all want to throw at me, so, bring 'em on.

That's a nice console collection you have ! :o

I too like to play Resident evil's, Final fantasies and sometimes Pokëmon games..

I started to play Digimon World 1 in Vizzed and when my digimon digivolved to that green pudding thing that throws s*it I was pretty disappointed that I'm so bad trainer... Maybe next time I get something better.

But anyways, welcome to Vizzed hope you like being in here.

Well, I can help you there.

When you first start, go back into Jiji's house, talk to either Koromon or the black digimon, and you'll get a bunch of items. Leave, go right, then up to the top of the area, and talk to the Digimon that's stood next to the farm patch with the meat in it, and you'll get your daily meat.

From there, go to the training camp, and train at the rock push for the first day, feeding your digimon, going to the bathroom and resting when needed. And save every 3-4 training sessions by going to Jiji's house and activating the Digivice in the bottom left corner.

Day 2, get your free meat and go to the top left of the training camp, and do the classroom for the day, same as above with feeding, toiletting and resting. Saving every 3-4 sessions.

Day 3, free meat, then go into the camp, then down into the forest, defeat Agumon, and recruit him, then, go down and left, deeper into the forest, down again, and then you have two options, you can go left, into the Drimogemon mines, or, head right, and recruit Palmon.

This should take up the first three days, I normally get Tyrannomon (Starting with Agumon) Or Drimogemon (With Gabumon) but there's a chance to get anything, really.

Another method, is to spend all three days training at the Classroom.

However, later on in the game, Numemon (The Green Pudding) is needed, as it's the ONLY digimon that can become Monzaemon, that yellow teddybear, which is crazy powerful, but that's not for a lOOOOOOONG time.

Also, instead of doing either of those fights on Day 3, if you run right, past Palmon. Until you reach Kunemon's nest, and go ALL the way to the right, then down, and find Coela Cape, leave that area at the top, and wait until evening, then, when the clock as at it's right-most point, go back down to the cape and follow the shore, you'll see a shadow in the water, wait for it to pop up, talk to Coelamon, and you'll jump over a row of them. If you're quick, when you end up on the next island, go left, skipping any fights, picking up all the items on the way, you'll come across a bride.

Cross the Bridge, then go down, all the way down, back to Coela Cape, and the shadow should be there again, providing it's still the evening, talk to him once more, and you'll recruit him.

Agumon opens the Item bank.
Drimogemon allows you to access a side-quest in which you need to drag dirt OUT of the mines, then return to another Drimogemon for money and training points, finishing this (Takes around 2-3 days to complete fully. And you can only drag dirt if the Drimogemon has a pile of it behind him.) will give you access to the Gear Savannah, another area to explore.
Palmon upgrades the Meat Farm, giving you 3 Big meat, as opposed the Regular, small meat you got before.
Coelamon opens an item shop for you to spend your money on healing items and, if needed, more food.

Anyways, hope that helps you avoid the greed blob in the future... Like I said, I've played these games to death, yet never finished any of them, my copy of Digimon Word 1 no longer works, I rented Digmon World 2 and 2003 is a game I can only play for so long before I crave some good old fashioned FF.

And, Now I'm turning this into a help thread, that was rather derailing, my bad.

Anyway, thank you for the welcome, as you can see... If I know about the game, I'm more than happy to offer help just for asking, haha.

Wow, thanks I copy that post because it is really helpful.
By the way you can play Digimon world's here, but you need 50,000 Viz first so you can buy PlayStation item.
And if I someday need more help in Digimon World I know who is the first person I'm going to ask.

50K huh... Hmm, I'm sure that once I master some of the games here, I'll be entering contests from time to time, or, just become super active on the boards, both idea's work, I suppose.

Besides, I'm a little focussed on beating Minish Cap, I played it a few years ago, and I spent forever looking for it. So, gonna get that done, first... And then, I shall look for more games to play, hehe.

Wow, nice collection. Vizzed has a feature where you can add all of the games that you physically own to your collection. Once they are in your collection, it will tell you their approximate value and rarity. At the bottom it gives your collection a grade and an approximate price if you were to sell it all. It is a pretty cool feature, but it would take you a very long time if you decided to add all of your games.

Ah, yeah, I noticed that function last night, and I've already made a start on building that collection up, only two games on there so far, but it's a start, isn't it?

Also, I forgot to mention all my pre-8-bit consoles in my intro post, but if you think Acorn Electron and Commodore 64, you're in the right general bracket, I'm sure I still have my dad's old Grandstand too... Y'know, that console with only one game... PONG!

Well, without dragging a bunch of vacuum sealed boxes from out of my attic, I'll never get ALL of my games listed in the collection... That would literally take me days, specially with the Commodore and Acorn stuff, since with the Acorn I think I've got ALL the collection tapes, and a few that never came with cases and/or labelled cassettes, so I'd have to make the darn machine work, heh.

But, I'm already planning on spending a weekend taking stock of all my games anyway, so, may as well kill two birds with one stone... Soon.

My name is zander and I hope that you have a fun time here with us. If you ever need any help, just ask somebody, and if you like, feel free to add me as a friend. Well, have a good time!!!

Haha, yeah, I've already played a bunch of games I'd never even heard of, let alone had the chance to play, so, the site's benefited me already.

As for adding you as a friend, I'll take you up on that offer, never know when I may need help within a game or something, and I'm never one to shy away from asking for help in general, so it's good to know that anyone is open for questioning. And, thanks for the welcome.

Just for the collection of consoles, I salute. For owning over 1000 titles of games, I salute you some more.

For not finishing a single FF game, well, meh... But you are obivously a serious, serious gamer. Welcome.

Brigand : Haha, thank you, it's not that I haven't finished a story line, I've just not ground the entire game to dust, I used to be a major completionist, still am at times, for example, the Ninja-Theory prequel to the Devil May Cry series, I bought that game on pre-order, and didn't put the disk back in the box until I'd earned EVERY achievement, including the Vergil DLC stuff.

As for my collection of consoles and games, it's amazing what 2 generations of gamers will amass, I'm not going to lie and say I bought each and every last part of said collection, but, due to the unspoken law of passing everything down, I have the second largest collection out of everyone I've physically met, and I know a LOT of hardcore gamers >.>

Andae :

Ah. Now I understand.

And no matter if you bought them all or not, it is still quite something. I am very sure hardly anyone has come across with something like that. I sure haven't and I have seen apartments with almost nothing but games and consoles everywhere. Well, small apartments.

Brigand :

Aye, there's only so much time you can put into a game before you look at the elapsed time and the words "Ah, crud x00 hours already?" sadly... I hit that point every 4-5 hours these days, that's why my Rom collection here on Vizzed is so large already, I don't get bored, per sae, I just feel the need for a change of scenery.

As for the collection, I didn't say it mattered whether or not I bought or inherrited them, I was merely pointing out HOW I managed to acquire so much treasure, I say treasure because, give it another 20 years, when I'm 40, or something, and a lot of these games will be classed as antiques, everything'll be digital by that point, so, cartridges, cassettes, disks, it'll all become something for collectors, and, since my collection can only grow... I'll be a pretty avid one at that, heh.

lumi007 : You and me both, as stated, I started my collection with my old man's consoles and games, meaning, I've been playing video games since I was like, 3, or something, I got my first Mega Drive/Genesis at the age of, um... 5, I think, it's been a while. And, a week today, I'll be turning 22 (Kinda wish I'd joined Vizzed a few weeks sooner, now >.>), so that's a LOOOOOOONG time I've been gaming, ahaha.

Hello everyone! I'm MegaBossMan50 and I would like to introduce myself!

I'm MegaBossMan and I live in Ohio. I am 23 years old and I love mega man, specifically mega man 2. I also like almost everything Nintendo. I love playing this game as well as making quotes for it. I am also Serbian. That's all I got!

I had a good childhood, until the war in Yugoslavia came. Me and my family came here and I had to learn English in 8th grade. Through some miracles, I went into honors English and Math and graduated with honors. I then went to Ohio State and I got my degree in finance. I work as a bank teller now and have a girlfriend, and she's a gamer too(not bad looking);-) . She's going to join soon, but after she finishes her list of games she wants to finish(on Chrono Trigger).

Also, if you ever want to contact me, I have a g-mail.
megabossman50@gmail.com is the address(this is my other account for logging onto websites and if someone who I don't know in real life can talk to me.)

I know the feeling, though I wish I had more time to game. And no you did not say it matters. And  it dosent. I was not saying that. And yes, it is a sweet prospect to think about since lot of your games and things are propably considered "antique" of sorts anyway.

But that reminds me of an another thing. Those old consoles and games were build to last. I sort of worry if my PS2 will live another five years.

Brigand : It probably won't, in the last... Eight, years, I think... We've gone through three PS2's, two slims and an original chunky, sure, they still work, but they all have totally different issues.

The Chunky won't play any DVD Rom games, only PSX and the black/blue/purple based PS2 games. One slim will only play DVD Rom games and the other, you need to wedge the lid open slightly, otherwise the centre grip thinks the lids pressed down against it and it won't spin. Heck, even my PSX is in much better working order xD
