What do you think of the HD remake of Wind Waker for the Wii U?

Could Nintendo have done better, or does it "float your boat" pretty well actually.

I will give in my input after some others have.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

I don't mind it at all really.
Sure, it's the same as Wind Waker for Gamecube with a few difficulty tweaks, but seeing as I never got the chance to play more than a demo of Wind Waker, I love the fact that I now have easy access to it. The controls don't feel awkward (except the boomerang) with the gamepad, it looks GLORIOUS and I'm overall happy with it!

I enjoyed it, got a whole lot further than the Gamecube version, but then couldn't play for a few days, and now I do not play any more. I never used a walkthrough on this one, not that I consistently use them mind you, and I loved the simplistic puzzles. I actually enjoyed this Water Temple, but these are all present in the original. I never could use a Tingle Tuner because I never had the cord, so I was really disappointed they replaced it in this version. The bottles were kind of a good idea, but they were just people posting "rare" picto's and spoilers, even with the filter. The game looks amazing, the game controls well, I like playing while watching T.V. , and the graphics are nice and true to the original. I think the 12 picto slots is a bit excessive though, the fun in the Gallery was the difficulty, and being able to give all 12 in one night is cheating in my eyes. Oh, and why would they EVER take out the fairy side quest that was originally needed for the color picto box? That, and the aiming mechanism are my main complaints. It's good overall, but they should have kept it more original, and maybe add a new island or temple like they did with the Colour Temple in Link's Awakening DX.

mourinhosgum : Yes, I meant the Tower o' the Gods. That was a pretty cool temple, especially the impact to the story it had.
