Well I knew my Step Grandma was getting a rib taken out that had cancer in it.  Everyone acted like it was going to be something small but it's gotten a lot worse now.

This is going to take 3 - 4 hours they are taking out part of her ribs, muscles, thus exposing her lung and attaching tubes to her lungs for 4 days.  What's more troubling is that she is 84.  We have no idea if she is going to survive this!  I am really worried right now.

Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts!

It seems the operation was not as drastic as the doctors thought it would be.  The operation took less than 2 hours and she came out really good.  The doctors say she will only need to be in the hospital for 3 to 4 days for recovery.  I have no more info than that but things do seem to look good right now.
