Hello. I really don't know what kind of games you enjoy so I could give you suggestions all day and they might stink to you but be the best games ever made to me. I will tell you some of my favorites and hope you like em.

Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Sonic and Knuckles for the Sega Genesis. They are some of the if not the best games ever made.

Sonic 3D Blast for the Sega Genesis. This game is very different than all the other Sonic games for the console, it is really hit or miss for most people but I love it.

Haunting Staring Polterguy for the Sega Genesis. I don't even know what to say about this game. Haunting is one of my favorite games.

Quackshot staring Donald Duck for the Sega Genesis. This is an awesome platformer.

Sonic Chaos for the Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear. This is my favorite 8bit Sonic game.

Knuckles Chaotix for the Sega 32x. Best Sonic game without Sonic lol. Really interesting game.

Doom for the Sega 32x. DOOOOOOOOOOM!

Sonic CD for the Sega CD. 

Sewer Shark for the Sega CD.

Yeah, I think that is enough games to keep you busy for a little bit.

As the other posters have stated previously, it's rather difficult to pinpoint a suggestion that would be right for you unless we knew what you were into such as genre or specific gaming machines. Generally speaking, I mostly game on PlayStation's and PC's, so the bulk of my recommendations will come from those systems.

Shooting: The Last of Us, Team Fortress 2, Destroy All Humans, Starhawk
Platforming: LittleBigPlanet, Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
RPG: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Disgaea 3, Not Final Fantasy XIII-2, Tales of Xillia, Ni No Kuni
Action: Gravity Rush, Infamous, God of War, Twisted Metal
Strategy: Valkyria Chronicles, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution
Racing: Gran Turismo 5, LittleBigPlanet Karting, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Rhythm: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F
MMORPG: World of Warcraft, RIFT, Guild Wars 2, Aura Kingdom, Blade & Soul

Well, I don't know what type of genre you want but I can give you some.
If its a 2D platformer you want I would say Sonic 3 and/or 2 (Sega Genesis).
If its an FPS than its definitely BioShock 1 (PS3, 360, and PC) or BioShock Infinite ( PS3, 360, and PC).
An RPG? Id go Chrono Trigger (SNES).
 And for a 3D Id say Super Mario 64(N64).
