This thread is about He-man.

We learned a lot, did we not?

Even if you are blind, you are still good for something if the uber super duper man gets blind too and you have to guide him. Also you should not go to a scary castle just because some other kid dares you to. No no.

Continue with what you remember. (Sonic taught you that you should not let people feel you up. Did He-Man?)

Also post about He-man.

I loved He-man when I was a kid. I had a lot of the action figures and watched the shows regularly. Then they had that movie and my love for it died, lol!

I was just a kid when that movie came out, but I liked it. I thought it was so cool seeing all the character in live action form. If I was older then yes, I'm sure I would have given a, "well, it's the WORST movie in existence." comment.

I loved He-Man as a boy. I believe that is the first action type cartoon I really got into. Shortly there after my attention turned to Transformers and GI Joe, but a special place will always be in my heart for He-Man.

Also, I do enjoy Frank Langella's role as "Skeletor" In the Live Action movie. This is just awesome.

For a movie that is kinda sub-par he really saves the whole thing. This is probably my favorite Villain performance in a movie.

How can this not send chills down your spine??? http://youtu.be/vOsHoqhbUIU

LOL! The movie wasn't that bad. It just seems like that's right when I stopped watching He-man and gave it up forever. Of course it wasn't that good either. Really it seems like its hard to make a good movie based on a popular cartoon. Look at the Dragon Ball Z movie. That was horrible. They did do pretty well with Transformers though.

magimangr : I also liked the cartoon as a lad, though I've never seen the live action movie. I'm actually surprised that somebody like Michael Bay has yet to do a remake of this series.

My favorite thing about the cartoon? The theme music. Seriously, if that theme dosen't get you pumped up, you must be dead lol.

grinder665 :  You are right about that. The music was good. I know when I was young and really even now at times I cared about the music before and during the shows, especially cartoons.

I am a huge Dragon Ball Z fan. I bought the DVD sets of all of the sagas and remember watching my favorite, which is the Cell Games saga. Well when I watched it I hated it because it was using the music that was done with the Japanese music and not the US music. The show was exactly the same and in English, but the music was different and really just made the show horrible. Thankfully I was able to change which type of music was shown back to the US version and just loved watching the episodes.

Ha! I'm one of the older people on here so Geezer Corner is a good place for me.

We used to play with heman toys. Essentially it was one body cast for males and another for the females. Thus, while He-man was ripped, Beast man came from the same mold, so he was also totally lifting. Everyone in Eternia was a bodybuilder for awhile. Teela and Evil-lyn, I think thats how to spell her name (don't care to look up) were tall, both had the same big thighs  and very slender arms.  Later they came up with Ram-Man and others that used a different body type.

I did not have the infamous stinky Mossman, who smelled like some really strong incense (Patchouli maybe). But I did have his less knwon and equally odorous Skunkor - the skunk type enemy - I can't remember what he smelled like exactly - but I didn't find it as strong as MossMan. I had to keep him in a pencil box lol.

endings : Wow. I don't even remember the Skunkor character. Was he one of the characters they introduced later on in the series?

Wow, He-man. I enjoyed this cartoon. I remember little of it as it was some time ago. The movie was spectacular! I saw it twice in the theatres thanks to my brilliant mind and my don't ask don't tell policy. Really enjoyed the entrance of the army of skeletor and skeletor himself into the earth world. That was just wickedly epic.

endings : I just finished reading said article. It's a pretty good article. Funny too. I especially liked the part where the writer describes mothers "accidentally" throwing away or burying the action figure in the garden. I can totally see somebody's mom doing that. I can see my mom doing that if I had that smelly action figure LOL.
