The next game in the conversion to the next generation of Xbox One, and PS4. Whoever has those consoles right now either is filthy rich, or sold the shirts off their backs to even get the console itself. $500 on launch is too much for my sense in gaming. Anyway, as you can tell, this isn't the "new" version, it's the game on the PS3, but it doesn't take anything away from the game or the presentation, it's still a really fun game, along with a pretty game to even look at. Let's go ahead and break it down, shall we?

Difficulty: 8
The difficulty itself is, to your guess, adjustable, therefore it can vary on opinions on how hard the game can be. It can be a pretty good challenge to a beat-down on every opponent you have. There are also Sliders you can adjust your opponents skills to. The sliders also can adjust your skills as well, if for some sort of reason you want to challenge yourself to becoming skill ridden, or way overpowering. I myself found a way to cheat the game badly, and set a saved sliders.(that I also shared on the community downloads as well) Anyway, the difficulty settings go from Rookie, to Pro, to All-Pro, to All-Madden, which I believe is next to impossible to beat in All-Madden. I've been surprised before, however. In the end of the day, it is pretty fair to me when it comes to difficulty. Its toughness brings a fun challenge, or to take out my anger on an unsuspecting team. It all evens out for me. It's pass/run blocking has been redone as well, along with running itself, with the new moves like spin, juke, stiff-arm, etc., it's been all repackaged and redone to be used more effectively, and it really helps the run become more effective, and its more fun to use instead of plain running.

Depth: 6
I wouldn't call this game long at all. Yeah, there's a lot of interesting new features, such as improved game mechanics, like the running I stated earlier. Its not that long of a game depending on what you do. There's no story mode, really besides Career mode, which adds up to becoming either a player, a head coach, or an owner. The owner is a brand new feature itself with bringing the franchise to your liking in all aspects imaginable. There's also the old positions you can use to get around your career, like a coach, drafting and managing rosters/plays, to player, where bringing the franchise to the best plays possible. This game mode can also be played online with your friends, where it is possible to have all 3 positions active at once. Of course if you need to go away, there's an auto-pilot feature to keep on as your friends continue the season. There's also another feature called Madden Ultimate Team, where you can buy "packs" of players to be on your very own team, being called whatever you want. You can buy the packs, and get players to play on your team. It's like a treading card game or what have you, only football! It's fun, but not my cup of tea myself, but back to Depth. It's not long at all. You play a career, go through some achievements in exhibition mode, and that's really it. There's not much else to talk about the length of the game. You play, you unlock, you beat it. It's basic attraction is online play, really.

Story: N/A
No story at all. Like I stated earlier, the closest thing to a story mode is Career mode. And that doesn't count.

Sound: 8
The sound is near perfection. All the home team chants, to the hits one ball-runner takes is all really authentic from the NFL games. Also, the calls from most of the QBs are from their voices and from their calls and signals, which makes the game even better. The music is nothing special, however. Its the generic music from NFL Films, in my opinion. Its not a bad thing, but it gets old. Hard to believe there was a time that there was actual copyrighted music from bands on there back in the PS2 days of the game. Now, there's nothing to talk about on that category. But everything else I can gush for a long time. It's really good, but just short from a perfect score on that part.

Graphics: 9
Besides on a few bugs and other nit-picks on what happens on the field, these character models are absolutely amazing. The game looks so real, and it's scary to think that this is only on the PS3, where the other consoles can hold up so much more details in score. Not only the players, but the Field, and the ANNOUNCERS look good. Jim Nantz and Phil Sims, the voices of CBS Football, make a brief screen time appearance in the beginning of every game, and they look pretty cool on what they really look, and how they look there. I enjoy the effort they put there. But enough of them, the turf on each field looks good, the jerseys on each player looks authentic, and pretty much every other aspect of the game looks spot-on to what many expected. Amazing.

Overall: 8.5
At the end of the day, when you look at this game, you can say that they really outdid themselves on most parts of the game. Yeah, there's plenty of room to improve, like what they did back in the PS2 games with Career mode where you move up the ranks from your appartment/location, to become a mega superstar with assigned roles to your credit, but that's for another time to discuss. When you look at the game as a whole, they did amazing. I was skeptical on buying the game when it first came out, thinking it was the exact same game as previously stated in Madden 13, it was a better enjoyment for me, really. I loved it.

Do I recommend buying it? If you're a fan of football, go ahead and get it.

Nicely done pacman, it is good to see you write a review, looks like you are getting closer to the big 10,000 Cp man, I am impressed. I like the way you arranged your review with the difficulty first and the overall last because some people will probably just read that if it was put at the beginning and then just ignore the rest of the review.

You also have a great amount of detail for each category of your review as well which I think is really important in a good review. As for organization, there is nothing more I could ask for, it is broken down, spaced out and you underlined and bolded the criteria which makes it look more professional, at least to me anyway.

Keep up the great work man and keep making more awesome reviews!
