Reports are coming in, although nothing has been confirmed at this point, that CM Punk has quit the WWE. Reports say that he is unhappy with the overall direction that the company is taking and that he's felt this way for quite a while. He comes across in interviews that he's just going through the motions. Sounds as if the Royal Rumble and the plans that WWE creative had for him at Wrestlemania are what finally pushed him towards this decision. He has been very vocal about his displeasure with Batista returning and being handed the Wrestlemania main event spot and has said that he felt it was Bryan's year. I thought it was odd that he wasn't on Raw at all and that there was absolutely no mention of him or progression of his story line. WWE's twitter account has stopped following him and if you follow Punk on twitter, he sent out a little message for his fans: "Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool." I've seen people say they think it's a work, but I don't think the WWE is clever enough to do that honestly. As sad as I am to see Punk go, maybe this will be the wake up call that the WWE desperately needs. Good for Punk for being this bold, and I wholeheartedly support him. I would not be surprised if he quit. A lot of wrestling stars have walked out of the company. Kaitlyn former women champion quit last month. Reports are that Punk and others are upset on how Batista was automatically pushed when he has been gone for a long time. According to pro wrestling sites, lot of people thought that it should be Daniel Bryan's turn to get a big push and that he should have been in the Rumble. Wrestling is not what it used to be. I grew up in the days of the Late Macho Man, Razor Ramon (Scott Hall), Diesel (Keven Nash), Syxx (Shawn Waltman), Shawn Michaels, HHH, Mankind, Vintage Kane and Undertaker. |

Wow that really sucks to see Punk quitting the WWE.... I really hope that he changes his mind.... Kaitlyn has also quit the WWE due to the fact that she hasn't got into big parts ever since she lost the Divas title to AJ..... it's really a shame that WWE does things that the wrestlers are not happy about and they better get their act together..... I miss those old WWE dayz from the Attitude ERA to Ruthless Aggression!! |

tornadocam : Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised either and I hope it is legit, as much as I love the guy. The WWE needs to see what's it's doing wrong...maybe this is a start. I'm one those people who think's Daniel should have at least been in the Rumble. I don't know how the WWE can ignore the crowds reaction to him. But it's not just Bryan...there are so many talented guys who just aren't used, either properly or at all. I've been a fan of WWF/WWE for 24 year's and like you said, it is just not what it used to be.? Awesome-Kid : A part of me is really proud of him for leaving. It sucks, but maybe the WWE will get's it act together since one of their top stars left. Yeah, it's too bad they only like their big guys. Then guy's like Daniel, Tyson, Dolph, Sami and other's never get a fair shot. I've got a feeling AJ will likely drop the title soon now. A lot of people are speculating that since her and Punk are together. Awesome-Kid : A part of me is really proud of him for leaving. Fishergirl7 : Yeah I do find the show great & all.... but it is just too sad how they treats their good talent these dayz instead of giving them a chance they are just ignoring them like that...... now I've stopped watching TNA not long ago and I'd say TNA will be lucky if they makes it through 2014 but they are not gonna last long and I have no sympathy for that cuz they have been after firing their big talents such as AL Styles.... I've heard from someone on youtube that there is gonna be another wrestling show apparently Jeff Jarrett (who left his own TNA long ago) may have be planning on working with someone on making a new wrestling show, now it definitely won't be quite as good as WWE but it'll probably be pretty good I'll probably watch this new wrestling show if that is created...... & I don't say it was Jeff Jarrett's fault that TNA went downhill!! |

I honestly don't care if Punk quits or not, it feels like he does this so often, that it's completely lost its shock factor.
I'm tired of WWE promoting guys who don't even WANT to be there. If Punk wants out, let him out so someone else can take his main event spot. I won't cry for him. And if it's a work, then Punk can go to hell, and so can WWE. This is why people are losing interest in the product, they can't come up with something original, so they repeat storylines with the same guys. At least mix it up a little. Fishergirl7 : CM Punk will be going into MMA most likely which could spell disaster if his knees and joints are messed up from wrestling plus I don't know how good his boxing and grappling and kicking really is. Either way I wouldn't want to stay around an awful company like what the WWE has become either especially after yet another completely predictable royal rumble farce. |

When I heard about this, I was in disbelieve, because CM Punk is the "only" wrestler that still at least interest me in watching WWE, but now he quit, everyone else that is in the WWE right now isn't even worth watching (and to be honest, I am a little tired of hearing the same thing over and over again [Face of the WWE, Best of Business, blah blah blah]), I was growing up watching the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras and I tell you, those two eras vs. today, it just ain't really the same anymore. How everything was going recently, it just got worse and worse to my opinion and I wouldn't blame Punk for quitting, that is why I wanted either Punk or Brian winning the Rumble, that would of made a little more sense, but the Corporation (Authority or whatever they're called) pushed Batista to win it and go to WrestleMania 30. I've been a Punk fan since day one (whenever he was a good guy or a bad guy, I still liked him), I was thinking he was the last hope that the company had to at least make it a decent company not including all the overhyped wrestlers (like Cena and Orton). I can say, after WrestleMania 30, I have completly lost interest in WWE and not watch any new stuff from that point on. If CM Punk quits, then I don't really care about the company anymore. Here's an interesting part to this rumor. CM Punk - WWE Universe, a WWE Sponsored Facebook page, is still being used. You would think that they would |

I don't know if that's suspicious. CM Punk has "quit" but he hasn't officially signed on anywhere else obviously... This is because WWE is holding onto the fact that Punk could still come back. I mean look at this. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kaitlyn-WWE/152486934780020 Kaitlyn quit a while back, and her page is still active. I know the circumstances are different, but until Punk signs elsewhere, odds are his page will stay up. I don't know if that's suspicious. I completely agree with CM Punk's reason of leaving the WWE. I really thought that someone else should have won the Royal Rumble who has great potential and will stay in WWE for a long amount of time. Batista shouldn't have won because there was no progress on his build up in the WWE after his return. I mean sure he has history with the WWE and won some titles, but he quit a couple of years ago due to his personal reasons which doesn't make sense to me. Even the crowd hated the result of the Royal Rumble because it didn't even make sense at all. I just hate how WWE are always focusing on bringing back previous WWE superstars and booking their events in an unreasonable way. The storylines are getting very stale and aren't the way that they used to be. All they want is money and they don't care about what the crowd wants. WWE should balance it out at least. Unless the WWE starts to change itself in terms of their work, great wrestlers will slowly walk out of the WWE. I am happy with CM Punk doing what he wants. I was beyond upset when CM Left WWE. But when I read on Wikipedia I could understand why, Because of The so called Animal Batista. Who I am sick of already and I am sick of Brock Lesnar why they don't care about good or key talent like Punk or Daniel Bryan.. I would rather Punk or Bryan vs Randy. Because if you watch their matches Close John Cena, Batista and Lesnar have about five or ten moves in their background and that is it.. While you have CM Punk and Bryan they will have 20 to 40 moves I have seen them both in Ring of Honor /ROH thanks to you tube and yes They can straight up fight. and Lesnar he a walking work hazard poor big show and Mark Henry and I heard the Rumble was terrible the fans Booed and cuss Batista out after he won the Royal rumble.. The WWE says what's Best for Business" is really saying what is BAD for the wwe fans. Look cena, and Lesnar, and Bastisa Just want money out a big pay check they care nothing about the wwe world title or wrestling The only big man or WWE Legend that I have respect for is TAKER, because he has the size of lesnar, and he can fight for real like Punk.. Don't get me started on the new age outlaws, or Kevin Nash and the WWE will lose Dolph Ziggler and zack Ryder plus others wait and see.. Do you now something....... I had considered Brock Lesner as my favourite wrestler for a while, but just last night I've changed my favourite wrestle back to The Undertaker.... being after making a realization that Brock may be a jackass in real life matching his wrestling character!! Anyways yeah I actually do support CM Punk in quitting the WWE I probably would have done the same thing if I was being treated the way CM Punk has been!!
