I didn't actually play more than 3 or so hours of Brawl, but IIRC, the hammer was in both of them.

It was just so funny how much of a game changer that could be, and it's just so fitting considering how insane the games are.

I sometimes wish that I owned a gamecube and wii so I could play more of them.

2 items that I love in SSBB are the Home-Run Bat and the Smart Bomb. I'm really good with the Home-Run Bat thanks to my great talent at throwing items and getting them back. The Smart Bomb is awesome because it's easy to aim and use and deals lots of damage.

Oh, I almost forgot... My real favorite is the bumper. You can have so much fun with it if you throw the bumper in the perfect spot.

I'd say my favourite is a tie between the Hammer, the Spicy Curry and the Pitfall Trap.
The hammer is a ton of fun to use (and the jingle is hilariously hyper) PLUS it's powerful.
The Spicy Curry, while not super useful, is also fun to use because the characters overreact to it SO well.
The Pitfall trap just makes me laugh wickedly every time someone steps into one. I just feel like an old time villain when I use it.
