So this year for school, I've been taking a class on video Game Design. I've been working with Multimedia Fusion 2, and so far I've made one 'complete' game using the tutorial it came with. My mom came up with the idea to make one based on a movie or a book, so naturally, I chose to do a sidescroller/top-down-style game based on Tremors, and I thought I'd make a thread to post updates on the game as I go along, and see if anyone wanted to help.
At this point, I'm working out the screen maps, which, if you didn't know, is the basic layout of each area or level. My plan now is to go back and re-watch the movie and work out the design for each area as it comes along to see what needs to be done.
I'll also be figuring out what kinds of sound effects I'll need. Personally, I consider myself to be more of a sound guy, being a musician and all, so this won't be too difficult.
Any questions/comments/suggestions? Anything useful is appreciated!
