It's the last season for "How I Met Your Mother", "Glee" (2014-2015), "Psych", and many others. I hate when shows are on their last season since every awesome episode makes me more sad that the show is ending. What about you? What shows do you think should never end?

well i thought Friends should never had ended but hey ho, it happened. um... besides that maybe The Big Bang Theory, I kinda wish How I Met Your Mother wouldn't end but meh , and probably Rules of Engagements. I prefer comedies to most shows, but for some reason I like to watch cartoons sometimes !

I will go with the Simpsons. I know that the series has been drastically declining in popularity, but because the show is already so historical, I want it to keep going on and on until it hits a point where no show in the future could compete with it. 

Well I think comedies should never end like The Big Bang Theory. Or friends which already ended I love those shows so much just like Kayladog!

xxdougiexxfreshx, Yeah, I do agree that all shows should end at some point, but this is really about the shows that are so good that if they could keep up their quality you'd like to keep watching them. Also about shows that are ending that you think shouldn't.

Family Guy and The Simpsons! I can not live without those! And, *ignores your descriptions* I have high hopes they will never end ! Back to the realistic side of me, I know they will both end eventually, but as an answer to the thread's question, they should never end.

i wish that psych and victorious didn't end and victorious didn't even have a finale which really annoyed me and i loved the show. and psych gonna end soon because one of the characters has a new ob offer and is taking it, instead of doing psych anymore.

I wish icarly didnt end...or maybe the old cartoons didnt end...since there remakes are just horrible.

deg2000 : If you're talking about Maggie Lawson, I thought that the show she was planning to switch to full-time ended or had some other outcome. Or is there some other character or am I mistaken?

Either way, I'm really sad about the ending of Psych and feel hesitant to watch the episodes knowing that they're the last new ones that I'm going to watch of this awesome TV show.

I wish that a show called "Urban Legends" would never end. It's about urban legends, they list three and you have to guess which one is true. Simple, but awesome. It's been on for 7 seasons now which, to be honest, is 7 more seasons than i thought it'd last.

Another show that ended a few years ago that I'm watching is Lost. It's gotten so good that I wouldn't want it to end.

Omg yes EM... I loved watching Lost but it ended so horrible... WHY did they have to end it like that.. I wanted several more episodes from that series. I also didn't want HighSchool of the Dead - a zombie anime to end either along with several others. I think they only feel like making so much and running a TV show forever would be pretty hard I guess.

The things that sucked most about most shows is that the majority of them are on the chopping block whenever they reach or approach an episode number that is divisible by 13 (65 is the most common).

Well, I was absolutely heartbroken when Buffy The Vampire Slayer ended 11 years ago, so I'd have to say I wish that hadn't ended. I'm still sad over the loss of my fave TV show. Charmed too. It's so strange watching a show for seven or eight years every week, then it's just...gone. 

As for current show's, I'm going to have to go with Orphan Black. That's one of the few show's that come's close to Buffy and I love it dearly. I hope it just goes on forever. ;p Also Being Human and Defiance. I'm hooked and it would suck it they got cancelled. 

Kage Negra : I think they only get a contract for 13-16 episodes at a time, so that a bad series doesn't last too long.

I do wish that seasons were longer for good shows, this final season of Psych sucks knowing so few episodes are left. 

At least shows like BBT and HIMYM have 25 episodes average per season.

That's hard, but I will say family guy, this show has stayed good all throughout the time that it has played, never getting bad like Spongebob. I would vote for Spongebob 6 years ago, but not now.

I was glad "How I Met Your Mother" ended. They were running out of ideas and it's not one of those shows that you can continuously keep running. It had to end sometime and the ending was unexpected and kind of crap in my opinion.

But on to the question. I think Big Bang Theory should never end. All shows technically have to end eventually; very few shows actually stay on the air for more than 10's of years like Dr.Who or Coronation Street. But if a show couldn't end I'd want Big Bang Theory to keep going. It has the similar feel as "Friends" did. It had those small sub plots here and there that everyone loved to follow but overall the show had no main plot. So technically they could keep going as long as they wanted without the show having to come to an end story wise.

That's the reason "Friends" kept going is because they had to main theme they could do whatever they wanted. The only reason it ended is because the actors wanted to do something different. Otherwise who knows it may have gone on for a few more years.

There are only a couple of shows that I think should never end, even though it would sap the energy out of anyone trying to catch up.

The first one is One Piece. There are so many factors involved with this anime that it probably couldn't end even if it tried. But considering how specific and long this series has been so far, it probably has another 15 or so years to go before it comes anywhere near the end. There's just too much involved in One Piece IMO.

The other one is Person of Interest. This one obviously isn't possible considering the fact that it's a drama rather than an animation, but I love this show (other than the NBA and NFL and Toonami, it's the only thing I watch) and I wouldn't mind watching this for the next 10 or so years. The only problem is that all the cast members will be old.
