Lets find something that we all can agree on...this is how it will work.


I say a viewpoint of a topic, and the person who replies, if they agree, they say why. If they disagree, they say why they disagree, and than bring up a NEW topic. THe person who replies to that person will do the same.
Not only will this disable the possibility for argument (since the topic will keep on changing), but it will also help us find something we can all relate to.

Here goes...



If someone loses a spouse or a child to a murderer (meaning, if someone kills a husbands wife, or someone kills a wife's husband OR if someone kills a mothers child), that spouse (or mother) should get the right to determine what the punishment to that murderer should be (they get to pick how many years in prison or wheather the murderer be put to death).
Reason:
If someone loses a spouse to a murderer, their whole life will never be the same, of course. They may obtain mental issues, seak revenge, or just never be able to function properly ever again. This way, they can feel at heart that the right thing has been done, and that they had somethin to do with the outcome of the murderer.
(note: i dont stand strong on this viewpoint, pretty much just throwing somethin together, since i'm not totally for death penalty anyway).

I would disagree, because there have been plenty of cases where someone was convicted of something and then they turned out to be innocent of the crime.... so it would be a bad idea!
