Done a little bit of snooping and perma banned members have come back before and just out of curiosity how come Vizzed doesn't do like most forum  sites do and have it were if your using a proxy or VPN the site detects it and doesn't let you on?

Good question...Maybe the owners can't afford the software needed for that?

Not sure, but now that you brought it up they may look into it.

Vizzed does have this. If you make a rereg account you get permanently ip banned. It doesn't ban you if you have two account automatically because two people might have the same ip.
Sometimes reregs come back but I don't really want to say how openly.

The site has a trash policy when it comes to giving people second chances. And I mean TOTAL trash. Someone who has done one bad thing, but then wants to come back because they have changed, NOTHING. They figure out, and BOOM! Out with them. Thanks guys who don't give second chances. Give Dragon111 for example. I mean, he did something stupid, he made a whole bunch of dupe accounts, and HE LEARNED HIS LESSON. When he came back, he was one of the best users on Vizzed. linkmaster99, his account when he came back, was one of the best users of Vizzed, and like a brother to me. Barathemos : dragon111 only did one thing wrong? Complete bull. You should really get your facts before making such claims. I'll tell you about the past doings of your precious 'innocent' friend.

At first, it started with him making a LOT of spam threads. Harmless enough. He was informed that he needed to brush up on the rules before making more threads. So his response is to make an insult to the mod who informed him (wasn't even an official warning) and decided to make more immediately afterward. Later, he went from making spam threads to just spamming other people's threads. That is when he got his official warning.

His response is to make plagiarized reviews. He gets a ban for this. (a temporary ban, mind you)

His response is to make reregs to get around his ban. So those get closed.

His response is to make more reregs to get around the ban. Some of them were used to spam. At this point, his temporary ban was pointless because it clearly meant nothing to him.

So yeah. Your friend did 'one bad thing' if breaking the rules constantly dozens of times and showing no signs of caring about his ban is one thing. linkmaster99 was immediately banned because he did not have permission to come back. He once again just decided to weasel around the rules as he always did. Now if he had contacted the site and asked if he could come back, the story would have been different. But he didn't. He just came back without permission because he knew how.

And yes, he didn't get as many 'chances'. But that was because bans did nothing for him. Had he just taken his temporary ban like a mature user, he would have gotten a LOT more chances before getting a permanent ban. Instead, he just kept ignoring his ban. When users do that, they honestly deserve to never have that account again because clearly they are just going to get around it anyway when they break rules with it.

The problem with your example is that you have a friend who got banned and you just believe whatever he tells you. Here is the thing. It is a lot easier to lie online. You might have his word that he did one thing wrong, but we have the activity logs to show he did many things wrong and refused to accept any punishment.

As for your comment that giving people second chance doesn't happen here, far from the truth. MANY people have gotten second chances after a permanent ban. Quite a few users have gotten permabanned twice and were given ANOTHER chance. It happens a lot around here. Quite a few times, they get to come back with their original account. But you would be shocked if you knew how many users around here who are very active are actually people who got to come back with a new account. To protect them, I won't tell you who. But I will say that there are more than a few people on your friend list that are reregs of permanently banned accounts. You know why you don't know who most (if any of them) are? The ones who have truly changed and have been allowed to come back have been great users since they came back and have made no suspicion to anyone that they are rereg accounts. Seriously, your jaw would drop if you knew which active users on this site are reregs.

So before shouting out how 'trashy' the policy is, try getting information from more than just a permabanned friend.

Lets see, I know 1. So you are saying that Light Knight, igorbird122, Eniitan, Tornado, Aria and so on, are re regs? Well, won't THAT be a great reason to back up my argument. And that whole most (most of it anyway) was just telling me that I know nothing. If I were you, I wouldn't make these kinds of judgements.  You have known me for 301 days, but I have known you for a LOT longer.

Let's take Marcus for example. All the re-regs to get back at people, but he got busted every time. But each time, he changed his IP to get around the IP ban.

Barathemos : I could see four of your friends being re-regs. Not going to say who and I am not saying that they are or that I think they are, but I wouldn't be too surprised if those four were. As for people not getting another chance, I know of a bunch of users that were allowed to come back and I have only been here for 234 days. I was definitely sad when linkmaster99 was banned, but I cannot say whether he deserved it or not, as I did not know him as dragon111.

Barathemos : I haven't known your for 301 days. I have barely spoken to you until some months ago. Before then, never really paid attention to you. You have not known me for much longer because you don't know me at all. Again, we don't talk, and I have only opened up to 2 other people on this site since I have registered. And I wasn't making a judgement. It is a fact that you have absolutely no knowledge of what goes on in the mod forum because you are not a mod. As for the list you gave me, I never said who was a rereg. Just that a significant percentage of them are. Because your friend list is small, it might not seem like a huge number. But in percentage, it is. But I will not specify how many because I don't want to give anyone an idea on exactly which ones might be reregs. But no judgement. Just telling you the fact. But again, you don't know me. I don't know you. Don't claim otherwise. 

Sigh, this is getting off topic quite quickly. Malchior, I apologize. I don't know the reason why Vizzed doesn't have those kind of security to detect proxy IPs. I'm going to have to close this thread because it's starting some kind of feud between people.
