Dear people of Vizzed,

For the past month or so I have been wondering whether it is possible to find the Vizzed Save Data File on the computer, say, for Pokemon Emerald, and transfer it over to a an VisualBoyAdvance on the computer a a .sav. It's just that if I were to get the actual cartridge for keepsakes, and then play the game as a ROM on VisualBoy Advance, would I have to replay the entire game from start to finish? Please help, as I already have all 7 silver frontier symbols!

Thank you in advance,
Techno

TechnoDragon77 :
They can be found and copied to a different computer but I don't think you can change them into .gba because that is the file type for GBA roms themselves. The GBA save types are either .sav which is the regular save file and then there is the save state file which is a .sgm , I don't think you will be able to play them on a different emulator though. I am not sure that is something you can experiment with.

Here are the steps to get to the save files...

Computer > C: > Downloads > Vizzed RGR Plugin > User-"some number"

From there you should be able to locate the game's save data.

TechnoDragon77 : Yes you can transfer the save state file and have it work offline. You cannot change the file extension though. Changing it to .gba would give the emulator the impression that your save state was a rom and that wouldn't work.

TechnoDragon77 : Yes, like I was saying before. You transfer the save state file for whatever game you want to play and you can continue playing it on a visual boy advance emulator.
Although if the save was made using the mednafen emulator, it would probably not work on VBA.

It would also be possible to continue the game with the Vizzed RGR plugin installed on another computer as long as you took that save file with you on a flash drive.

The save state files are found on your local hard drive. If you are using Vista or newer that location is C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-344686VBASaves

Look for the files with the .sav extension

Jordanv78 : Wow, thank you so much, sir! That is amazing! Now I will also know how to delete unwanted saves as well. Have a happy season, and may you be well! Can the local mods close this thread now? How do I summon them...
