Hai. I'm Ddog! Sometimes when I do YouTube I end up writing these letters to no one hoping that I could help someone out there. Being that I am becoming more and more active on this website, I figured I would extend a hand to people here too. This is a video of my 2nd episode of this series, talking about Being normal and how it isn't the best thing in the world to be. I hope this helps someone here. <3

It's an interesting idea. You speak well and you have a nice video.  But my serious question is this:  What's the point?

Humans appreciate normality because we're a complex social animal and to be too far extreme to one end or the other, whether attractive or not, puts a person at a disadvantage because it separates them from the pack.  People strive for normalcy because they are accepted into a group.  Many people fear public speaking more than death because rejection from humans is more emotionally devastating than something like dying.

And normal for us can be thought of as the bell curve.  You can't have everyone be beautiful and smart and athletic.  Then we'd all be 'normal.'  Think of NFL players.  They're the best in the world and there aren't many of them but amongst their peers they're simply normal.  Define it anyway you want, there is nothing wrong with normal.  It's acceptable and it comforts people.  We should all work to improve ourselves and learn and be healthier and happier but the word 'normal' is no curse.

warmaker :  "Many people fear public speaking more than death because rejection from humans is more emotionally devastating than something like dying. "  I just wanted to say that this made me laugh this morning. As usual, your post is overwhelmingly wise and intelligent, but I certainly chuckled as I tried to imagine a dead person being emotionally devastated.

warmaker :   I guess in my own opinion it can be seen in both ways. As for the point of the video, I usually just make these rants whenever I have something on my mind that I would rather not bring up when I do my gameplay videos. I know my opinions differ, and that's kind of what I want out of these videos, to get one of two responses:

1) People relate to it and then feel better because they have someone to relate to that goes through what they do.

or

2) People disagree and bring up good points to counter my views (which is what you have done).

As with all reality, 99% of it is based upon what you perceive, and when it comes to being a "Normal" person, I know that many people would rather be good or bad looking rather than stuck in the middle.

So, you bring up good points. Thank you for watching and giving feedback
