The 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's death just passed, so I thought to make this thread. What do you think about the JFK assassination? I think of it as the government says: The murder was by Lee Harvey Oswald, and he acted alone. He was in the Texas School Book Depository, and the first shot missed, the second shot hit JFK's back, and the third shot struck JFK through the head. There were 3 sniper rifle shells on the texas school depository to show this.
Anyway, what are your guy's opinions on the assassination?

Popeye116 : I don't think there is any sort of conspiracy behind the assassination, but I do think there is something intentionally being hidden. I'm guessing the gov't messed up somewhere. They may have known ahead of time that there was a threat and did nothing, there may have been a security compromise, they may have slacked on security sweeps, but we'll never know.

I wasn't alive for it so I can't speak to the political landscape and the "WHY" the U.S. government would want to kill JFK, if it were them.  I don't think there was any conspiracy and I don't believe the U.S. is behind all these plots to bring us into war with other countries or assassinate our political leaders.

I think it was a guy, maybe two, with rifles and excellent marksmanship that killed a president.  Why?  I don't know and I don't pretend to have an idea.  I do know it's too bad any time any person dies as long as they're fundamentally good people.
