There are lots of theories out there, do you buy any of them?  Personally I think several are more likely than not.  What do you guys think?  Lets have a discussion.

I believe in Nessie. #nessielives

There are few conspiracy theories that I put much stock into. Nevertheless, I feel strangely drawn to them, especially ones that are particularly interesting, like speculations on Area 51.

Also, for people who dig fictitious spoofs, I found Mermaids: The Body Found to be really fascinating and a lot of fun: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mermaids:_The_Body_Found

Nessie may be true, although I have been to Loch Ness and I fell into the loch and wasn't eaten and I am good for protein

The JFK assassination is one of the biggest conspiracy theories and now they are saying the driver of the car may have shot him, took them 50 years on to come up with that one now

And 9/11 is always a big topic of conspiracy theory

CatLady :   have you ever viewed the YouTube channel spirit science?  they suggested-not the first to do so btw, that there indeed were civilizations that lived underwater or were in places now underwater, based on the idea of layer lines. (The same way blood and chi flow through channels in the body-the earth has its own flow of energy through specific pathways)

Really wouldn't call the Loch Ness monster a conspiracy. That is just an Urban Legend. A conspiracy, by definition, is a covered up plan to do something wrong or harmful. Stems from the word conspire, as in to conspire against someone. (And just because the Loch Ness monster was brought up, I find it unlikely that we have camera equipment that gets clear pictures despite the lighting conditions. We have fantastic underwater camera, and radars that can be used to find even small groups of fish from the surface. Yet, that radar couldn't detect a supposed Plesiosaur, and professional camera equipment, for some reason, can no longer take clear pictures when it is a picture of the Loch Ness monster (and Bigfoot, for that matter). Sure *sarcastically said*.

But as far as REAL conspiracy theories go, most are hokum and just tabloid stories that they know people will eat up like herded sheep. Do shady things happen behind the curtains that we don't know about? Most likely. But the most popular conspiracy stories are likely just that; stories, and nothing more.

The only real "conspiracy theory" I believe (and it's hard to call it that) is that OJ Simpson really didn't kill his wife, but his son did and he covered for him by looking retarded.

I believe in the idea of conspiracy, because human nature love secrets and planning, especially the smart and rich ones. Do I believe in all conspiracy theories and stories? No, some are really, really far fetched. Because of self interest or very long term goals, shady things will be discussed.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I think there are probably a few out there that hold credentials but for the most part I just find them fun fiction to read, or watch in the case of YouTube.  I don't put any stock in them, though sometimes I come across an especially intriguing one that makes me think, well that just might be true.

I think there's some substance to a JFK conspiracy, there's plenty of audio evidence of things going on behind the scenes, and a LOT of stuff being redacted from the public.

As far as 9/11 conspiracies, illuminati, or freemason reptillians that worship alien satan... No, I don't put too much stock into them.

No.. I don't believe in any conspiracy theories.. as I have grew up surrounded by movies and family that did believe in them and tried to make me understand I never came to the grips with any of them.. I just ultimately put it down to a saying of it's not real and your just making up stories.

I think conspiracy theories are an interesting subject. Being one that likes debates and discussions, I enjoy when the topic is brought out- especially in my civics class. Anyways, I kind of do my best not to let myself believe in conspiracies. Though I don't doubt that everything is not how it seems, I think a lot of these conspiracy theories are pretty far-fetched. Granted there is some pretty convincing evidence, I think that most of them are too crazy to be true. To me, conspiracy theories are more for bringing up interesting discussions, rather than convincing me that I need to prepare to fight for my life.

I know a conspiracy theorist who is always trying to convince me conspiracies are everywhere, and I think that more than anything has turned me away from conspiracy theories. His ideas are very unrealistic. That alone does not stop me from believing them, but demanding evidence only frustrates him. I've looked into several myself, and I've found them very easy to debunk.

There were a couple that I actually thought had some good valid proof but I don't remember them anymore XD Most of them are just kind of stupid and people just trying to start stuff like blaming 9/11 on the government or something. There's a fine line between actually making a valid conspiracy and sounding like a complete fool. I don't generally believe in any though, I just find some of them to be a neat thing to think about from time to time.

I don't believe any of them but I do find them interesting to an extent. I am aware that there are things the government keeps from civilians, if they didn't we would probably panic at the amount and type of information we started receiving, but I doubt that information is otherworldly contact.
