I had high hopes for the wii, and it was alot of fun at first but the lack of good games has made the wii dusty and lonely aside from the new excitebike/castlevania

Now that I have a Wii, I can provide some new opinions on it. The motion sensitive controller is very responsive, but the concept has been overused and misused. I think they try too hard to make a lot of the games utilize the motion sensitive technology, and it can ruin what could otherwise be a perfectly good game. The games appeal to a broader range of people because it targets mostly the casual gamers, much to the dismay of hardcore gamers (also, hardcore games are more expensive to produce). The limited graphics don't bother me, but I don't like the arm flailing most of the time. A few more hardcore/semi-hardcore games would be welcomed, too.

But at first I thought the WII is just crazy, harder and more exciting, but when I was at the shop buying it, I had a feeling that the WII might not be fun as the old games, but my sister and brother wanted to buy it soooo badly, so we bought it (and over 10 games), and after 2 weeks, I got bored of it, because its games didn't have a long story (which makes the game longer), and so easy that I can win by playing my own feet (I haven't tried that but I will), so that why it was a rap off for me.

I think the Nintendon Wii is pretty good!! But I do agree that there are alot of games that are not great!! But like every Nintendo Wii game I have is pretty awesome such as...Super Smash Bros Brawl, Punch-Out, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic games, WWE Smackdown. VS. Raw 2010, Wii-Fit Plus, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, & The Biggest Loser!!


& did you know that you can play Punch-Out on the Wii-Fit board?? Which I normally do when I play Punch-Out!!


P.S. I might be getting a Playstation 3 as well, but then again it is possible that I might change my mind & get an XBOX 360 instead, but we'll see!!

The one thing about it that i like is turning the controller sideways and playing old nintendo games on it.

Well for WWE Smackdown .VS. Raw 2010, the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 version is probably better, so those who has a Playstation 3 or an XBOX 360 you probably better off getting that WWE game for one of these two!! I have only played the Nintendo Wii version of Smackdown .vs. Raw 2010, but I just kinda assume that Playstation 3 or Xbox version is better!!

I don't really like the controller, but I love the Wii Fit! That being the case, I voted no, because I think that even if the technology is older, the Wii Fit balance board is, as far as I know, a new application of said older technology.

The Wii is being used with a under made system because it can. The main reason many people get it is because of the exercise programs it has.

The Nintendo Wii is a good system but I think they made the worst system this decade.

The Wii price has dropped to $200 I don't know how long ago. What you are forgeting is that there is the Virtual Console on the Wii and the Wii Shop
Channel. You can buy a ton of new games exclusively for the Wii on the Wii Shop Channel. You can even buy a majority of the retro games that are here on Vizzed, on the Wii Shop Channel. Yes, the graphics aren't the best and yes they don't have a lot of the games that the PS3 and 360 have. But it does have a lot of games that the PS3 and 360 don't. Zelda, Mario, and Metriod are exclusive to Nintendo and have some of the most popular games ever are in those series. Nintendo also has Super Smash Bros. which is so successful that they decided to make 2 more after the first. (SSBB is the BEST GAME EVER!!!)The Wii does have it's weaknesses. One of the biggest being that it doesn't have many games for the older audiences but that's only because it's more for the casual gamer. I would like more hardcore games on it but it doesn't look like its gonna happen. I do sometimes wish that I had a PS3 but the Wii has its advantages and disadvantages just like any other game system.

Youre half correct but most of the enjoyable things about the wii is the games you can download there are over 250 games that are extremely enjoyable on there. Including what allows me to post on the board through the wii for free the internet channel. Sure it costs 10 dollers for 1000 points but its worth it after. (you must have aa working internet connection) so in short i belive the wii is worth the price... espicially since its the most durable system out there. and the mostly made for travelling

The idea of Virtual Console is nearly pointless when you're on Vizzed, while Mario and Zelda might be good, Nintendo has milked it into a complete cashcow. Casual games mostly suck, it's just Nintendos way of saying "Instead of going outside, BUY OUR PRODUCTS!"

Not really. It's a fun, innovative, and very interactive system, that's fun for people of all ages. If anything, I would consider the ups in prices on systems these days to be blamed on inflation and competition.

Theres not even that much excersize, I mean even the wii fit. It lets you do anything you can normally do, but for a shorter period of time. And it killed first person games; I'm playing cod 3... no online, nothing! Not even 2 player. And you move one cm and it flys off the screen. I only like 2 games out of the 23 I've played, and they're even worse!

I think yes but I think that they could be charging more than they are because of other game companies are charging way more than they should so i think that nintendo is still ripping us off but just not as bad

If you think about it, the wii is a lot like the nintendo R.O.B. toy that was released with the NES super pack.Both sound amazing but aren't really as great as you're led to believe.
Comparing a robot that plays video games with you and games that you feel like you're really in them, or at least that's what commercials say. Just like how the rob only sat and gathered dust, not many people play wii by themselves.


When you look at this data, it's safe to say the wii is just as big a scam (bigger actually) as the ROB toy.

I suppose it depends on who Nintendo are selling the console to, if their market is hyperactive extroverts that always have 2-4 friends at their place 5 out of 7 days then it's perfect.
But to target to anyone that wants to play games by themselves or play more indepth games instead of casual ones is laughable.

Well I say no for a number of reasons.You get online internet(youtube,stuff like that).You get to play games from NES,SNES,N64,Genesis,and a lot of other older games.You can still play gamecube games.Games like SSBB are wii only and have wi-fi.Call Of Duty fans with wiis can play some games,including upcoming black ops.It now has netflix.Btw Just Dance for wii is like a full body ddr .The wii has a lot games that get you active.In fact,almost every wii game has you shaking your arm.The list can go on for a long time,but it just ends with what type of gamer you are.

I think it barely costs anything compared to something like the Xbox 360. I don't want to pay 400 bucks for an xbox. And anyways, I've played about 40 wii games, and they were all fun. Maybe you're just not looking at reviews before buying a game, that's what I always do. But my point is, the wii revolutionized gaming. It should cost 400 and the Xbox should cost 250. The Wii is underpriced if you ask me.
