Vizzed.com is looking for users who are willing to play games in the Retro Game Room and live stream themselves doing so. If you're not familiar with live streaming but are interested, sign up to http://www.twitch.tv/ and you can find out how to live stream and they'll also provide you the tools to live stream on their site.

You can earn Viz and CP from streaming and the amount earned depends on your Partnership level:
Bronze:
-Earn 0.05 CP and 10 Viz per a minute of streaming
-Advertise Vizzed.com on your streams when playing RGR games (the RGR play frame is good enough)
Silver:
-Earn 0.10 CP and 20 Viz per a minute of streaming
-Advertise Vizzed.com on your streams when playing RGR games (the RGR play frame is good enough)
-Advertise Vizzed.com and provide a link to the site on your stream page
-Make Davideo7 a moderator of stream
Gold:
-Earn 0.15 CP and 30 Viz per a minute of streaming
-Advertise Vizzed.com a lot on your streams whenever you stream (on the actual stream, not just on the page)
-Advertise Vizzed.com and provide a link to the site on your stream page
-Make Davideo7 a moderator of stream
-The quality of your stream must be high and you must average at least 10 viewers

Important: When you stream games in the RGR, make sure to play with the chat room. If you play without the game's chat room, than you will not get credit because the chat room is used to communicate with my scripts letting the database know what game you're playing and for now long.

Once you get your account set up, tell me in this thread where your twitch streams will be located and also tell me which days of the week and what time of day you'll be doing your streams and I'll advertise your stream right here in this thread for you.


You will be removed from the twitch streaming page on vizzed if you don't stream RGR games in more then 30 days. My script will automatically disable these streamers and to get added back, you'll have to send me 10,000 Viz.


To get added to the stream page, send me 1000 Viz (by going to my profile) and reply to this thread letting me know which site you'll be streaming on (twitch or hitbox), your channel name and how often you plan on streaming. It may take up to a week for me to add you to the page.

David, where are the tools that it has to let you broadcast?

I have some questions. As you know, Im someone who supports and advertises vizzed netplay as much as I can, because Im always down for a game. I want to know if I can trial run live streaming to see if my computer can handle it. Also, what if I participated in 10 hours of other people's live streams instead of hosting my own? would the same rewards apply? Also, if there is any way you can figure out how to get snes netplay to work for me, then the games I could play would be a lot more open. Also, get on Jordan's case to finish that list of netplay games, which I think would help a lot of people make this live streaming more popular; or at least get him to post the partially finished list with a "more to come" statement attached and post it somewhere on the netplay page. Also, can you live stream a 1 player session? or does it have to be through netplay? Can you live stream psx games?

Wow.... this is the first time I ever noticed the stream ON The ad space on the index... that is .... SO cool. I'm quite beyond words!

Ten hours a month isn't much at all... this might actually be fun to do. I know a lot of vizzed users ( *cough* play4fun and mrfe *cough* ) have said they'd love to see me play some games just for humor's sake.  I still don't know what they mean.  lol

Hmmmm.... I've been wanting the PSX item, and unless another sale is coming up and it's going to be half off again, I'm probably not going to be getting it for a while, so this might be a good idea to try out!

Though, I have no idea if I can record videos on this laptop... It's better than the one I had, but still fairly old (Windows XP). I'll see if I can get something working.

Davideo7 : I've made a Twitch account. To be honest, I'm not new to the idea of streaming but I'm new to streaming things myself. So I'll be testing it out a bit before I'll schedule exact dates and times, but I'll happily stream my game experiences from Vizzed. Maybe then, if I mess something up, people will be more able to help me with it! Ha ha ha. And, of course, it may be entertaining to watch me play? I don't know. I'm actually pretty shy in person. Everyone will see in my videos.

I may be interest in this, I am just going to set up my account. I have watch a lot of live streams including some of lilwildwolf21 streams before as well. I may pass on this because I am currently setting up my youtube channel. Personally I am more of a fan of recording commentary after getting footage (basically how my YouTube channel is working) but since twitch is live streaming then there is no option. 
I will have a bit of a practice with screencast-o-matic and if I get any good I will let you know when I start streaming!

Edit: Couldn't get anything to work right because my laptop isn't good enough for streaming (that, or I suck at technology and screwed up the setup ), so I deleted the twitch account I created.

mrfe : That's fine but the big benefit of giving people an idea of when you'll stream is that they'll know when to expect you to stream and therefore know when to tune it. If users don't know than they're less likely to watch your streams.

I guess I can live stream but only on weekends. My twitch livestream is thelolwayup. I can livestream 1:00-8:50. I already have the account set up so all I have to do is figure out which games to livestream. I've already got everything planned for Christmas. When Christmas comes, I was thinking of streaming Christmas games, hacks, or just any game that has to do with Christmas.

Okay, I finally made a stream of a Retro Game Room game as IntelHD4000 (twitch.tv/intelhd4000) that is almost an hour long. It's "Friday the 13th" on NES. You can see either as a highlight or as a previous broadcast.

As mentioned before, I can livestream on random days and times. I might do another one today, but I doubt it.

UFC : you need to download a streaming program like XSplit and link it to your Twitch account. To stream from XSplit, open the program and then you can just do (file)-->(add stream region) to choose what section of your computer screen you want to film, and do (broadcast)-->(twitch) to go live on your twitch channel

It lists all the users who have twitch channels, it lists who is currently streaming and it also embeds up to 4 streams on the page. This is a great page for finding out who is streaming and it's also a great way to watch multiple streams at a time!

Hopefully this page will encourage more users to want to stream and hopefully it'll also encourage more users to watch the streams. I plan to advertise that page throughout the Retro Game Room so it should definitely get some users interested. I also plan to eventually add a chat room to that page so users can "hang out" while watching the streams together!

That page is actually pretty cool to make. Now you can easily see who is streaming and who the Vizzed user is. Now all I need to do is figure a time to stream some games.

Well, it looks like I had been able to set up a bit early. Everything is ready, but I'm still going to have a jumbled schedule. I put up a test stream and it looks good so far, so I hope for the first streat to be up this month.

I can be able to stream now that I am on winter break but after that, my times might change so don't be disappointed if I am held back with homework but I can probably shoot maybe around the afternoon.? im interested in doing this, but it would be at pretty random times. Most likely on the weekends. I also wouldn't use face cam and would not usually use a mic, so I probably wouldn't be very entertaining but I will probably stream a bit anyway. I might also stream non vizzed stuff.

Since you have the Twitch account, all you need is to get a capturing software. Twitch is just a website that takes video from a capturing software and puts it online in real time. So here is a link to XSplit Broadcaster, which is (if I remember correctly) what David uses and is suggested by (and connected to) Twitch. On the website, you WILL have to make an account, but the download and the account are both free. When you run XSplit Broadcaster, I believe it gives you a tutorial on how to connect it to Twitch. But if you need more help, feel free to ask. =)
