Graphics 10 This game has graphics like no other SNES game you have ever laid eyes on. Mario looks like Mario. Goombas look like brown mushrooms still. Koopa Troopas are still overkill tortoises. Geno is the best, mostly because he looks like a puppet with a nightgown, because that's what he is. +Magic spells. Bowser is still a giant overkill tortoise with a shell that resembles spikes from Zelda on a portal on an overkill tortoise. And Mallow... is a marshmallow. Peach is still an extremely lame princess who likes to be captured and, as everyone knows, saved by Mario. And toadstool guys are still weird-looking 1-Ups and HP boosts. It's like your regular Mario plat former, but 3D. Sound 10 Bowser's Castle sounds like Bowser's dull, easy-beaten(Until visit#2), old brick wall excuse for a sturdy castle (That doesn't mean the castle looks bad, it means Bowser is trying to pass off a weak castle, which is practically a brick wall, for a castle). And Mario's Cab sounds like Mario's personal, extremely catchy, familiar tune. Mario still sounds like he is making an obnoxious "Boing!" sound when he jumps. Too bad Princess Toadstool doesn't shriek. Like, actually make a shriek sound. That would be cool, but it could be annoying at times. Again, just like your average Mario plat former, just the game is 3D, with some extra sounds and tunes, for the RPG style play. Addictiveness 10 This game is very fun. There are tons and tons of hidden Frog Coins for special purposes. There are many different re playable Mini-Games, such as the Mine Cart Mini-Game, or the Yoshi Racing Mini-Game. Or the Midus River Mini-Game. Also, you can equip items, such as the Hammer, and the Symbols, and Parasol... A certain character even has a weapon where he or she throws Mario at the enemy. There are tons of secrets, and like, the game is incredible, just incredible. Story 10 There are a few story plots. After Mario unsuccessfully tries to rescue Princess Toadstool( This is surprising, because Mario is an awesome Italian plumber, and Bowser is a clumsy, heavy, hopeless tortoise who tries to make himself look intimidating.), a giant sword, with a NAME comes crashing down on the Dream Road, and destroys the Grand Star, and splits it into 7 pieces. After that, the sword, Exor, crashes down on Bowser's Castle, and the 3 protagonists become separated, and the Smithy gang takes over Mario's world. You later find out, that without the Grand Star, no more wishes can be made. And the 7 star pieces landed in 7 separate places, one of these areas, Bowser's Castle. So, that is where, both you, and Mario, gain full understanding and Mario sets off on his REAL journey, to try to repair the Star Road. Depth 10 This game is longer than you think if you thought this game is just another princess-saving errand game. Because IT'S NOT. This game is much longer than that. Once you save Toadstool, then she is separated from you once more. And, if you feel angry at Bowser and want to kill him, too bad, because he is separated from you, too. And then, you go on a journey in 7 areas, one area you go to twice, to repair the Star Road, so that dreams come true once more. There are also small side quests that can obtain you cool stuff, some of them are really hard to complete, some are really easy. There are also many, secrets, like the path that obtains you, like, 7 Frog Coins in the Forest Maze. Difficulty 7 This game isn't TOO hard, but there are numerous bosses that take care of me pretty easy, just like their are difficult enemies. The cake thing in Marrymore used to, and still does give me trouble. Exor is in my Top 5 Hardest Bosses. Axem Rangers are the #1 hardest boss for me to defeat. Red and Black just kill me, but if Black is dead, then Green is giving me trouble. If Black and Green are dead, it's either Pink or Yellow giving me trouble. They are almost impossible for me to kill, no matter what. Overall 10 This game is 100% unique from other Mario games. It is a huge, fun, complex game, with an RPG style combat system, and is one of the best SNES games ever. It is most definitely in my top 20 favorite SNES games. That is to conclude this review.
