This tutorial is aimed at getting more hacks in the Vizzed Pokemon Rom Hacking Competition(https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=62280), many of the submitted hacks simply need to add “Vizzed.com” to the title screen and the hackers don’t know how.
After reading this you will have all the tools and knowledge to remedy this issue and get your hack into the competition.

As always, Back up your rom, just in case something goes wrong.

First, download this .rar file
(http://lsaentertainment.yolasite.com/resources/Vizzed%20logo%20Tutorial%20tools.rar)
and unzip it somewhere on your computer (near your rom hack preferably) and open the software called “unLZ-GBA.exe”

Once inside unLZ, Click “Open File” then find your rom

Now, find the box below the “Import” button and beside the “GoTo” button, it is currently marked “0”
If you are hacking Fire Red Version, type “2013” in that box
If you are hacking Emerald Version, type “2613” in that box

Then click the “GoTo” button.
(NOTE: do not hit “enter” or the software will close… don’t know why)

Now you see the image that controls the GameFreak logo on the title screen

Click the “Import” button
and navigate to the folder where you unzipped the .rar (at the beginning of the tutorial)

Then select the corresponding .png file named “(Yourrom) Vizzed logo.png”

Finally, click the “Write to Rom” button
Make sure the “Export Image” is selected and the “Export Palette” is NOT selected.
then click “OK”

And test your game

I do not recommend using this tutorial as a guide to make custom logos, there is a little more to it when making your own logo, the provided Vizzed.com logos are designed correctly and will work. If you go in msPaint and try and make your own, it will either not work or look like crap.

I made this a stickied thread for the time being although earthwarrior already covered this info in his tutorials, until the Pokemon Rom Hacking Contest is over, because the title of this thread is easier to notice.

Hey guys, got a problem with editing my titlescreen according to your tutorial.
When I open position 2013(Base: Firered US) it looks like this:

And when I insert the png you attached I either have to abort because the size is too much or then it simply doesn't apply anything at all

I've no idea why this happens.
Any advice?

RocketLeader : working with unlz is not always an exact science. Changing images in the rom or hacking parts of the game sometimes rearranges the unlz numbers... you will have to search through the lust of found images by clicking the next and previous buttons until you find one that says "gamefreak" and "press start" if your lucky it will be close to the original location. 

On a clean rom its 2013... on a hacked rom it could move a bit...

Also if youve run a deep scan on your rom its likely far far down the line. Deep scans find many more images than the regular scan. Although most of them are garbage.

Advice... click the next button till you find it lol. It shouldnt take more than a half an hour (its how i found it originally)

Eirinn : I think this should've been closed a long time ago as the competition is long over and this no longer serves a purpose (Also sorry for the three year bump)

Pokemonfan1000 : The site is set to automatically close threads due to age. Not sure how this one was missed, but it isn't an issue if they're missed. Once they're irrelevant they kind of just sit there anyway.

If you tried it after finding this, then I suppose it serves some purpose still so I'll go ahead and leave it open.

Hate to bump this again but, how do you do this? When I went to the required spot, it didn't pull up the logo and instead pulled up a weird image. Any help is appreciated.
