relinquish022 : Ok tnx for having me over bro to help with reviews and such. Anyways today over the matter of the new games x and y we will talk about a pretty good pokemon for your team, Aegislash the royal sword pokemon. After leveling up Honedge to lvl. 35 it grows to Doublade, and then after obtaining a dusk stone it evolves again to the pokemon we speak of today. This steel ghost type nullifies the steel weakness of fighting types and the steel typing gives it many other resistances and weakness to only 4 types. Speaking of resistant let's talk about stats.
60 HP and speed, which kinda sucks. 50 attack and sp attack!? What trash is this? But then... 150 in defense and sp defense HOLY CRAP. Well, you know if you need a defensive wall in your team, just... you know, it's, it's... it's there. But it actually gets better. This pokemon can be OFFENSIVE as well. "But it has 50 stats in both attack and" SHUT UP I'M NOT DONE. It has a unique ability stance change that let's it change form. You know how it's blocking itself with a shield? An enemy that attacks it will barely do any damage and if it makes physical contact it's attack stat is lowered 3 stages! HOLY COW MAN that's a lot. And once you use a damaging move you will go into offense where this time you have 150 in attack and sp attack and 50 in defense and sp defense! Once you use the move king's shield it will go back to defensive mode.
Now upon evolution it now learns king's shield and knows some moves that can be taught, most moves that Doublade could learn. Now however if you use the move remembererer...er you can get moves like automize, headsmash, and my most suggestive, sacred sword. This move was once only known by the 4 pokemon cobalion, virizion, terrakion, and keldeo (or was that secret sword?) but now that, you know, we have an ACTUAL sword it might as well know how to use itself. Sacred sword is a fighting move with 90 damage and 100 accuracy. It also has 20 PP meaning you can use it for a while. This move is special because even if an opponent uses harden or iron defense a bunch of times it still has full effect.
Good TM's it can learn are shadow ball (80(120 with type match) damage, 100 accuracy, may lower sp defense), and flash cannon (exactly like shadow ball but steel type move also type matching).
Some good counters are the pokemon spiritomb and sableeye, since ghost and dark are both supereffective on our sword buddy here and there are no supereffective moves against them. Fire and ground types are good against it too, and they can usually attack from afar not getting their attack lowered. I guess Camerupt would be the best of both worlds. Chandelure is pretty bad too with flamethrower and fire blast and the works.
Well, you gotta start small, so that's it for now guys! I'm definitely getting this guy when I get the game... cya!
