I done neglected sonic week yesterday... i sowy. anyways today we talk about Knuckles the Echidna. Now as a sonic fan I make fun of Nipples the Enchilada all the time (he has an octopus head ), but you have to give respect to a wingless glider-less animal who somehow flies around. But there is one thing Sega has forgotten to address... the Master Emerald. Knuckles has been trusted to watch over the emerald, but we haven't seen him even CLOSE to it ever since Adventure 2, and even then he was competing with Rouge due to him neglecting his responsibility and he ended up breaking it in the process, so... oops? Now maybe he DOES guard it to this day, but it seems he did absolutely nothing in Lost World but stand there as the world dies with Amy. I guess the last evidence is the end of Heroes where Rouge says she'll hunt for "someone elses treasure" and Knuckles goes chasing after her. Anyways I dunno why Sega can't just make a sonic game like that with eggman after the chaos emeralds and master emerald anymore... he just looks for aliens, interdimensional robots, and weird monsters inc. rejects.

I would like to point out that in Sonic Adventure 2 Knuckles learned how to grow and shrink the Emerald. He probably keeps it in his pocket, or hid it somewhere no one would dare look. Don't believe me? Why did it keep changing size during SA2?

Oh the Master Emerald changes size due to the magical power of plot. You need to do anything? You just use plot. Through the ability of plot, anything can go your way. Even if it makes no sense or changes things completely. If the story says so, the master emerald can change size twenty times a game.

I think that Sega abandoned most all of Sonic's origins after Shadow the Hedgehog. 
As of Sonic Unleashed, Earth has been completely redesigned, and the series has taken a completely new focus that mostly worries about Sonic, Tails, Robotnik (Eggman) and that's it- with black knight giving us a sliver of hope.

But I think that sega is running from its origins a little to much, I get that Sonic Colors is SUPPOSED to be like Sonic 1 or 2, and that it's not supposed to have an all grand plot and stuff, but if in the next game, Sega does not return to the awesome plot base that they created in Sonic Adventure, Sonic 3 & and Knuckles, and Sonic Adventure 2, I'm not going to be that enthusiastic. You are right, Sega has forgotten about Knuckles- and every thing else that came with him in his big debut- Angle Island, the master emerald- all of it. Right now, I'm not to worried, cause I can see what they're doing, they're just going back to Sonic 1 and 2, but it would do them well to go back to Sonic 3 and knuckles next. I'm waiting for the return of GUN, and the E 100 series, hey, if the egg pawns could come back, why couldn't the E 100 series?

Sega will probably get to it next, and they seem to be teasing some of the fans with the possibilities of Sonic Adventure 3, but it may, sadly, be only teasing.

But Sega is smart. I know a lot of people could beg to differ, but I've watched what they've done, and they're smarter than people think, I know that people love to exaggerate how bad some of their sonic titles are, but ussually there are only a few complaints. (outside of 06, but hey, Sega didn't even finish that game before releasing it.) 

And yeah, we could go without Shadow cussing and heavy metal in His big game.

But I think that this next MAJOR CONSOLE GAME could be a good one, I mean, I doubt they'll give us a Sonic Colors 3, but if they do then so be it, maybe the next one will be what I want- A modern Sonic Adventure- without a mile ranged homing attack, but I don't know. I'll always remember Sonic for what it was to me on the Sega Genesis and the dreamcast games on Steam. Games I love and leafs of gold.

I'll miss you Gamma, Tikal, Fang, Chaos Zero, and Omega.

I hope that you'll make a return Omega.

Well knuckles became the hulk recently... that's progress. But he still has no signs of protecting the master emerald in boom. Also a loophole with the hidden emerald conspiracy, the emeralds give of huge energy signatures, especially the master one. I'm sure they could be detected when given enough time and investigation.
