Basically, my friend has Pokemon light platinum, and I have it too, I was wondering if there was a way we could battle eachother via GBA emulators on our phones? there's no npc to speak to regarding trading and stuff in Pokemon centers.

It's impossible without trading centers, and would probably still be impossible regardless. The RGR plugin is likely incapable of transferring data between pokemon games, so trading/battling via the center would be a waste anyways.
