So, in the South of England(where I live), there was a 'hurricane' warning, which as you can probably guess is not the norm here. Anyway...it turned out just to be strong wind. Phew! So, have you ever had any freak weather warnings around your area?

We just had a thunderstorm yesterday. Too bad we lost internet for 4-5 hours. At least if my counting was correct. Luckily it's clearing up now.

In January '12 we had a massive snowstorm that knocked out the power for days. It was so bad we could barely back out of the driveway with all the snow on the ground. We had to leave the city to find a hotel that had power and wasn't full. I used to love the snow...but no so much anymore.

What do you mean by "freak weather warnings"? If you mean a warning about really bad weather that ends up not happening then yes I have had freak weather warnings a couple times before. One time I had a severe thunderstorm warning, a flood warning, and a tornado watch but none of those things happened in the area that I live in. I don't remember what happened the other time.

I live in New England. When we get freak weather, we REALLY get freak weather. In 2011, we had a nor'easter right around Halloween. The trees were still hanging on to their leaves, and the trees had also already been weakened by Hurricane Irene and the tornado outbreak. As a result, trees and giant branches fell everywhere-including on the power lines. Power went out for days all over Western Massachusetts, and everyone was freezing, due to there being no power to heat houses. My family want for four days without power, and we were some of the lucky ones. Others went for weeks.

Not really . In Jamaica all warnings normally are proceeded by the things or weather in this case , that we have been warned about . But the Sun has shone and the rain has fallen at the same time here before .  Does that happen anywhere else ?  Or is it nor?

Once, near my county, we had a tornado in the middle of Janrurary. If that isn't freak weather, I don't know what is.

Yeah there is already a thread for this same question.

But for my area, there hasn't been much freak weather and there really isn't much either, just heavy rain and thunderstorms or it gets really hot, but really nothing else as far as extreme/ freak weather.

Normally the weather is pretty normal in my area and there isn't reallt any unexpected severe weather. We have had some tornado watches and bad thunderstorms every once in a while. But that is still pretty normal in my opinion, we had a hurricane strike in 2004 and the earthquake about 2 years ago but other than that, nothing else.

So nothing extreme going on in my area weather wise XD

Juliet : Ok. Like I said above, we are trying to make it so that everyone can access it. We sent David the Viz for it, but I don't think he has gotten to it yet.
