What is the biggest source of stress in your life right now that you are facing? Are you able to cope with it? For me, this really sounds insignificant compared to what others may be going through, but just homework. I usually plan out when I am going to do it, like a set time when I start. My math homework, I finish in school, so I never am concerned with that. English and Spanish homework take the most for me. There is a lot to think about and write down, which involves a lot of my time devoted to purely thinking and racking my brain for some interpretations and knowledge. Social Studies (Western Civilizations): Fairly easy homework (most of the time). Usually the same format of homework, textbook questions. I have little stress here. Science (Biology): Little to know homework...when there is homework, my teacher usually makes us watch Crash Course (Biology) videos on YouTube, since the video basically teaches what our text book states in one chapter. The videos are much better in my opinion. How about you? If someone states something and you have an idea on how to cope with it, please do share with them. Yeah, right now, it is homework or me, I just have so much of it to do and I am so stressed out, I have essays, paragraphs, summaries, books and textbook pages to read, most of this is for ap, but then after that, I get work from all of my other advanced classes and the workload just really stacks up from there and I am just drowned with homework to do. I knew what to expect, but this is just a lot of work to do and I hardly get any time to enjoy myself, I am always working, even on the weekends because I have stuff due. I just have so much on my plate as far as homework goes, I am stressing over it, but I know in the end it will pay off. So as of right now, that is what is stressing me out. School. More specifically, homework. I am in honors classes, so my teachers pile on the homework. It is very stressful and rather annoying. |

After thinking about it, I'd have to say my low self esteem coupled with my mom's high expectations. See, I view pretty much everyone in my grade with high praise. Sure, the guys have their moments, but for the most part they are good people who are willing to help classmates with problems. Most are also pretty darn bright, they just take a little bit to understand. I look at these people and wonder how I ended up in the same time and place as them. So I end up getting flustered over every mistake, sure that they haven't made horrible little errors like I have, then I freak out and mess up more. It just ends up in a messy circle until I calm down and just do it right. Because of this my work ends up a little late and mom doesn't get too happy. Mom's expectations might help me push myself, but that never helps my self-inflicted stress. See, I view pretty much everyone in my grade with high praise. The one thing that is stressing me the most right now is the loss of my Mom 2½ years ago, the one person in my world that I could always go to...... Ever since she died everything is just falling apart.. Especially broken relationships with the one I was closest to, my friends and even my own family. Being so alone is the most worse feeling in my life thus far... ![]() ![]() |

My job, or the lack there of. $7.25/hour is not cutting it for me, especially since I don't even get 40 hours a week, not its like BARLY 40 hours every TWO weeks. How's that for part-time? Talk about stress when I have to prioritize what to pay off first and if I will have any money at the end of the day to at least EAT something DECENT. OMG STRESS! There isn't one BIGGEST source of stress in my life, there are two, on about equal levels. One of my little brothers, for instance, is such a pain. He annoys me more than anyone else I know. Many people say he's just acting like a little brother normally does, but I can't stress it enough that he doesn't just do normal little brother things. I won't go into details, but weird stuff happens. The second biggest stress is homework. I'm taking all honors and AP classes and all that homework really adds up. It's such a bother to do it all, I probably should have just taken one academic class to alleviate the stress, but I guess it'll probably be worth it in the end if I can just persevere and get through this year. |

The biggest source of stress comes from people. I'm homeschooled, and don't get out much by definition. So they spark a sense of terror in me. And most of my real life friends became jerks. So I have trouble trusting anymore, which causes more stress! >.< The biggest source of stress comes from people. I'm homeschooled, and don't get out much by definition. A mix of homework, school, my high school robotics club, and work. I come home from school at about 6 due to robotics (yes, they keep me like 4 or 5 extra hours), then have to rush to work. Then there's homework after I come home, like math, which is the crappiest of all subjects. This piles on me a lot, causing stress and makes me an insomniac just finishing what I have to do. I have one project in robotics to do, finish it at 8, go to work late, finish that at 9, and finish a crapload of AP and gifted class homework which makes me want to cry and have a breakdown (which I HAVE done before, don't worry). I'd be okay with maintaining all of the crap I deal with if my math homework wasn't so bad. God. School for sure! I'm expected (to put it nicely) to get all A's in school and I begin to get in trouble around the A- area, and I'm also expected to take a ton of advanced classes, so I am almost always extremely stressed about school, especially since I get maybe 5 hours of I also get extremely stressed about the auditions for my school's plays. There are few things in the universe worse than being judged on your ability to effectively preform a monologue when you're so scared you can hardly breathe and you feel like you're going to pass out in front of your director and stage managers and just fall off the stage. For days before auditions, I can do little more than stress and worry over, "Will I even get a callback? Could I possibly get a role? Will I ever get a big role?" It's funny, because I absolutely love acting, and I'm a total ham on stage who never gets bad stage fright, except for those stupid, nerve-wracking auditions, which basically turn me into a nervous wreck until the callback process is over and the cast list is posted. If you don't know how to handle stress, never do theatre! Theatre is pain! (And also probably one of my favorite things ever!) Finally, people. People are TERRIFYING. I don't think they realize how terrifying they are. I don't really know what to do when someone talks to me, because I am seriously bad at socializing, and then they'll often call me out on it and make me feel really bad. I have just had too many people tease or bully me, and too many people are stupid or obnoxious and mess around or won't pull their weight on a project. Most people only talk to me when they want me to do something for them, mostly their school work because I'm smarter than most of my classmates. "Psst! Hey, Kala! I've never even said hi to you before, but you're a nerd, so will you do my homework?" NO. I most certainly will NOT. I also get extremely stressed about the auditions for my school's plays. Being finacially in trouble and my little sister abusing me every chance she gets. It seems like no matter how much me and my family try there's another bill to pay and nobody is hiring. Sometimes I wish things will get better and I know it will it just takes alot of time!
My sister trips pokes and picks at me constantly she was putting me down calling me fat and saying ugly things to me, and shes only 12 years old! The last couple of days I have seen her try to become better and not treat me so bad but she still yells at me for no reason. I know it will get better alot of things just take time, pacience and prayer. emoteen134 : Amen to that. I remember 4 years ago when I thought the same thing. Although, now that I am 25 and have a teaching job, I find myself thinking the same thing still. When you get a better job, you upgrade your living, and then you are financially the same way as before. Endless cycle. |

Once you get older work and Money issues are usually at the core of most of an adults stress. It sucks sometimes but you find a way through it somehow. |

For me is trying to get temporary assistance since my bf left me and is not helping me pay bills, and babysitting isn't getting enough money to pay for everything. I'm wheelchair bound so I can't get a job but SSI disability is giving me a hard time along with the temporary assistance I mentioned giving me a hard time. My parents are planning to move down to Florida this summer so I will be loosing my core support. Yeah so things are looking down but I'm trying to push through. |

I really don't want to vent and air out my dirty laundry, but she won't see it so...
Honestly, the biggest source of stress in my life currently is my girlfriend. Lately, we have had absolutely nothing to talk about, and it drives me insane, since all she does when I try to text her is respond with silly emotes. When I tell her I actually want to talk, she rarely has any ideas what to talk about, and I can't blame her, because neither can I. This may just be a first REAL rough patch for us, since we've been together 3 years now, and neither of us leads an exciting life. On top of this, is the fact I recently met a woman who shares my main hobby (watching baseball) and has more interesting stories to tell (being more well traveled). She has sparked some fascinating discussion, and I rather enjoy her company. Obviously, I can't really tell my girlfriend about that, she'd flip. But I also can't just ignore it, and hope the issue resolves itself. I've been giving it tons of thought, and I'm still no closer to a solution. tl;dr - don't date unless you like headaches. Money. Not that surprising, right?
I live paycheck to paycheck. Since I'm a freelancer, sometimes those paychecks are irregular and I'm broke for a week or more at a time... I just have to keep on keeping on... It's just a matter of time before my husband's residency paperwork goes through and he is legally permitted to search for a job in Canada... Until then I am working hard freelancing at three different jobs to make ends meet. I live paycheck to paycheck.
