Well my great grandma is 100 years old, turning 101 in February. Yes, she is still alive. She lives by herself. She drove until she was 97. She can still hear and see perfectly. She is supposed to walk with a walker, but she never does. She can keep up with a treadmill going 6 mph. And she has an outstanding memory, which I will show you in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C4RuRCjym0

You will notice that she is very nervous in the beginning. As the video goes on she becomes more and more comfortable.

I did this video as part of a social studies project last year, and I am glad I did it. My family all loved it and it will be a great thing to have in the future.

tgags, I'm still watching the video, but I want to say that your grandmother looks AMAZING for 101 years old.  It sounds like her voice causes her some pain but I'm amazed she looks so strong!  If I had to guess, I would have guessed she was in her late eighties or early nineties.

She's got some amazing experiences as well.    I've never heard of the boxes where you had to put in a quarter for electricity.  It's like a parking meter... wow!

Singelli : Haha she really is amazing. I also forgot to mention that she is only on one medication. And I am glad someone took the time to watch the video! (And surprised that no one just said they did for a cheap post).

EDIT: PixelBrick: Lol well that was my voice a year ago, it changed a lot since then. Um well she is an amazing cook and she loves to cook for our family. Her husband, my great grandpa, died in 2000, so she has been living alone for 13 years. She is very nice and fun to be around. She has a bunch of her own sayings. One of them is "cool your mouth". No, that doesn't mean that you said a bad word, it means that fruit is out and she wants you to eat some. Speaking of which, she is 100% Italian, so she believes in all of those old Italian wives-tales. Whenever we visit her she is always offering us some kind of food. She never wastes anything. This is something she learned by growing up in the Great Depression.

Okay, I'm done watching all 19 minutes of it... And may I say, your great-grandma is SO sweet! Haha. I love her sense of humor, too. Like that penny comment she made. She's SO right! People cherished pennies a lot back then, or so I've been told. How she said it and compared it made it pretty funny. Or how she said she took her honeymoon in Florida to get away from work... Haha, I wish I could do that!

She really seems like someone interesting. Her past seemed really sad, like how she said she was born into the Great Depression, and how she was robbed. But she managed, and was really humble about it! She didn't seem to complain, and she said she learned how to not "want" things. That was really awesome to hear from her.

Although, I did find it interesting how she got her license in her first week of trying to drive! That's incredible! It took me like... one month to get the basics, three for my family to trust me enough.

But, yeah. This was a pretty awesome video. Your grandma and her past seems so interesting, and how she ended up with you just seems amazing to me! I love her and her humor, and all of her sweetness! The cards at the end were so sweet... *sniff* Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how much electricity a quarter purchased? Also, I thought it was interesting that while she and her husband were in Washington, somebody broke in and stole their things.

When you think about 70+? years ago, you don't really think about domestic crime. Nice video.

That's amazing.  She looks great for 100. She sounds like a nice lady. She always seemed content when things were hard. Something all of us could learn from. I liked that bit about the pennies. xD You totally revealed your voice I'm going to read all your posts in your voice now ok? This is definitely one of my favorite videos.
