Hi everyone! I will be telling you all the locations of all the Hidden Machines that can be found on Pokemon Fire Red. Hidden Machines (HM) are special moves which are necessary to finish the storyline of a pokemon game, which can also be used inside or outside of battle. I will be helping you in finding each and everyone of them, and I will give some opinions of my own in each HM.

Cut- This is the 1st HM that you need to get in order to battle the 3rd Gym Leader, namely Lt. Surge. This is also needed in cutting specific trees and small grasses to avoid in engaging a battle with wild pokemons. You can find this in S.S. Anne. After you battle your rival, go upstairs and talk to the Captain. After that, he will give you your first HM.

Flash- This is really important, you will be needing this to light up the Rock Tunnel for easy travel. You can also use this in battle, this attack lowers the opponent's accuracy. You can get this by going through the Diglet's Cave from Vermillion City and exiting near Pewter City, walk straight down until you reach Route 2. And from there, you will meet one of the Professor's Aids and he will give you Flash after you gain your 10th pokemon.

Fly- You can use this for easy travel. You will be in a far place in a few seconds just by using this move, so this is really helpful outside of battle. And, this is also a good move that could be used in battle to deal damage. Go to Caledon City and continue going left, in where the Snorlax was sleeping before is a small tree, use cut in it and continue walking left, go right through that building and still keep on going left till you see a small house, enter that house and there you will see a girl, go talk to her and she will give you HM Fly.

Surf- For traveling across the vast seas. This is another important HM which you will be needing often. This could help you travel through water big or small, and this is also a good attack inside battle. You can get this by going entering the Safari Zone in Fushia City and go all the way to the back of Safari Zone, and there you will see an NPC and you should go talk to him. He will give you your HM.

Strength- To exercise your muscles. You will be needing this to push rocks that are blocking the roads, those smooth, round rocks.. To get this, you should go back to the Safari Zone and fin the Golden Tooth, once acquired, go straight to the Warden's House and hand him the Golden Teeth, and then he will give you the HM Strength.

Rock Smash-To smash away enemies! This you can use for smashing rocks that also blocks the road. In order to get this you should: Go to Island 1 and take a walk to Kindle Road, from there go to the Ember Spa, and go to where the elders are located, try talking to them all, and one of them will give you the Hidden Machine Rock Smsh.

Waterfall- Who would ever thought that someone or something can climb waterfalls? Anyway, you could use this HM in climbing waterfall as I said earlier. You can obtain this by following this few steps: Go to the ice cave in 4 island, after completing all of the mazes, you will see a pokeball, pick it up because it contains the HM Waterfall. (Sorry If I Didn't Tell You On How To Get Through The Maze)

To Recap:
Cut on S.S. Anne
Flash on Route 2
Fly on Cycle Road
Surf on Safari Zone
Strength on Warden's House
Rock Smash on Island 1 (Ember Spa)
Waterfall on Island 4 (Ice Cave)

Hope This Helped.

You've certainly made a lot of useful walkthroughs on this game! I find all of them to be very useful though.

You are very detailed but you also get to the point with your walkthroughs which is crucial to a good walkthrough. Thoroughness is another important feature in a god game guide, you excelled in that as well, you told every location and how to get that hm for every item in depth which is great.

I can tell you now, this is going to help a lot of users when they play this game, because all the time they ask these questions in the chatbox, and now you have eliminated the need for that, with this amazing guide to get the tms. So this will definitely help a lot of people in the game.

Overall, keep up the good work with making these helpful walkthroughs. I think you really are getting the hang of it. Keep up the excellent work and keep making these useful guides. I know for sure that I will use this the next time I play this game. So, thank you.

Thank you! I must have spent at least two hours asking every random person I saw, hoping that one of them would give me Surf. You made my life a bit easier, it has been a while since I last played it.
