Well I have always loved birthday partys but now that I'm 18.. I don't care for presents or a party. The only reason I would want to is if my family just had to give me one. I guess I have matured some what and some people will always love that day filled with presents family and joy but one day when you get older it's like you stop caring.

I haven't had a birthday party since I was 12.  I just like hanging with friends or having a quiet day to myself.

Lately though with babysitting the kids love to give me a party on my birthday.  I find that cute and I do allow it.

Best thing for my birthday is if I can go out to eat and watch a movie.  That is my fave birthday!

They used to matter more to me, but the older I get, the less I care about them. I didn't really do anything for my birthday for two years in a row now. I'll probably have a birthday party in the future, but the past two years I just couldn't be bothered to entertain people.

They're not really important to me personally. I haven't had a birthday party for a very long time now and I don't think I will be having one anytime soon. I do enjoy throwing little parties for my younger brother and sister's birthdays though. Nothing big, just a small family gathering.

Yeah it is not that I don't care for them, it is just that now it kinda seems like I have to fit my Birthday into a schedule, I would also throw Birthday parties for younger siblings and family members.

I've had one Birthday party in my life, but I don't consider it one. Parties aren't my scene; I usually do a get together with some of my really good friends, but other than that, nope. Parties are no where near the top of my list of things I care about. Heck, being talkative is much higher on that list- and trust me, I don't care for words.

I don't really find parties to be my thing to be honest, they are loud, annoying, filled with people and I don't really care for that much attention being drawn to me. I still get little things for my birthday and maybe go out to a nice restaurant to eat. But that is about it for me though, no noisy people and tons of attention. I really don't need that. I am not an extremely talkative or even party type person, so I just enjoy peace and quiet because that is just the kind of person I am. 

So I wouldn't really place any kind of party to be top priority on my list. 

I don't really like people knowing its my birthday. Plus I don't really have parties I just like hanging out with friends and having cake.

Once you get past the age of 21 I think actual birthday parties are lame. Heck, I get nervous enough when friends want to take me to a restaurant/bar that is known for making you look like a dork on your Birthday lol.

Honestly I could do without the traditional "Party" I would be just happy with going out with a few friends and having a nice dinner. This past birthday, I went to a concert. I would much rather do stuff like that.

I haven't cared about birthday parties for a while now. I think I've only had one or two in my life, and those were shared with my cousins. Sometimes people come over for lunch or dinner, and we don't really call that a party. I just like the cake, and that's pretty much it.

I genuinely can't remember if I've ever had a party. I'm sure I've celebrated out and about with friends,but I've never been to a proper party... not that I've ever cared to have a birthday party. Hanging out with my mom and brother is good enough for me

I really dont mind birthday parties....but..i hope its short..and there better be chocolate cake.

I don't care much for birthday parties either, The last one I really enjoyed was my 21st birthday party, and that was for obvious reasons. I've always just heard that it's downhill from there. I've noticed the years are getting shorter, and every year I don't really need a reminder that I'm one year closer to death. I'm not the most cheerful of chaps though I guess.

um, I want to say that birthdays have always been special to me. Maybe it was having people surrounded by me who were genuinely happy to see my face that made it super special. That was what stuck to me the most about birthday parties. It was much fun playing games and tag and chatting till no tomorrow. Then as I grew, my family and I always came to bitter ends during the holiday season (my birthday's in the middle) so it got cancelled for 5 years. I often stayed out those days weeping at the parks or staying way past curfew at the park looking at the stars feeling everything and nothing at all. Frankly, I never thought I'd ever get older. But life has it that sometimes we get the strength to keep going no matter how much has been lost. So! Recently, now 23, I've restarted my birthday parties. It is smaller now but I like seeing these faces on my special day. I know I may not see them celebrating with me in 5 years or 10, but the fact that to someone else I was a worthy cause to get to know, makes me tear up. I think birthday parties should always continue. It lets you be king or queen for a day. Of course, you got to remember your kindness and humbleness and have a good time. I'll always enjoy my birthday from now on. Even when my parents are gone and my friends are gone too. I have known for a long time that one day I'll truly be on my own. No family. Only my mom and dad. But even they are not here for the 2nd half of my life. So seeing them now with me on my birthdays, singing to me, being here with me, makes me so glad I stayed and so glad we celebrate. I'm the remix of them. Also I've branched out to these strangers who stayed then as a friends which has given me more reasons to live. I'm glad birthdays exist. They remind me of everything that ever was and that is to come.

Really don't care anymore, I celebrate my b-days every 5 year.

They aren't important to me, but I enjoy the time I spend with family and friends on my birthday. I always have cake and plan something special. Never a party, though.

I don't really need a party, but as long as there is a piece of cake waiting for me, I'm fine. A birthday just isn't a birthday if you don't get that cake.
