OK trying another thread in this sub-forum lets hope it wouldn't get closed this time. So the question is have you ever wished upon a star at night. I've done it a lot.

I remember wishing upon a star when I was younger. Now I don't wish upon them anymore.

On the days when I felt really sad, I did. And it really worked.

Another yes or no thread... really?  This makes me quite sad.    With such an amazing scope of available topics... I'd expect more.  (I mean... it's earth AND space, people!!!!)

Yes, I'm sure EVERY child has wished upon a star.  I remember most frequently wishing upon starts in Alaska.  We would sit around a lake late at night, holding fishing poles in our cold fingers. The floats would dabble out on the water's surface, the line taut from the pole and disappearing into the night.  It was probably one of the most peaceful activities ever.  We'd always watch for shooting stars and I swear my whole family always saw more than I ever did.  I only ever recall seeing a shooting star ONCE. And I'm not even so sure I saw it.

What did I wish for?
It was a toss up between catching a really big fish and making my dad proud, or falling in love with someone amazing.

I can't remember which I wished for, but I do know one of those came true.  ^.^

Does wishing upon a star really work?  Well I guess that'd depend on which wish I made that night.

(Bam. That's how you start a discussion and encourage more than a yes or no answer.   )

I have not wished upon a star believe it or not, at least not now. I did when I was younger and I am pretty sure it worked XD.

I haven't wished upon one in a long time though. I think that you could expand upon this more so it is not reduced to a yes or no answer as singelli pointed out.

I have never seen a shooting star either, I am sure they are more common in the colder regions like Alaska and the poles because I have never seen one in Virginia or else I would've wished upon it no matter how old I am!

So yeah I have done it once or twice before, but I haven't wished upon one now.

I have never wished upon a star before because I don't believe in superstition and I have never been told to wish upon a star before.
