Okay so as the thread title says, have you ever blacked out before? I have but it was only when I was riding the intimidator in king's dominion other than that I have never blacked out before doing anything else. I have done it a total of 3 times before, and all of them were when I was riding the intimidator at kings dominion.

I am just curious if you have ever blacked either from this or from doing anything else? If you have post it here and share what happened if it isn't too personal!

All vizzed rules apply, and if there is a thread already about this (which i don't think there is) but if there is, please feel to close this or move it if it is in the wrong place.

So have you blacked out before? If so, doing what?

Yes and no. What I do is blue-out, and I've never entirely lost consciousness. In biology class a video we were watching disturbed me, and I asked to go to the bathroom and I almost passed out right outside the classroom. I collapsed against the wall and fell to the floor, but I willed myself to get up. The people at my school's office made me drink water and put my head between my knees for a long time.

So far in a little while I haven't really blacked out if I remembered and that was a long time since I had one. The last and only time I blacked out is when I got a concussion back in late 2007, but other than that, I haven't really blacked out.

No, but I imagine it would be quite scary. I have seen people black out before. I was biking with my friend he fell off, hit his head on a tree, and blacked out. It was pretty scary!

Not sure if this counts but one time, my father was taking a shower early in the morning while I was still asleep, and he called me to get him a towel. So I get up and go to the closet and fell asleep when I opened the door, fell forward and knocked down a vacuum which hit me in the head when I fell down. So I kind of black out...asleep.

When I was a child I was taken to see this wax museum exhibit. A really spooky and gory one, showing peoples intestines and how different diseases ravage your intestines. About in the middle of it I just started to lose consciousness and I thought I was dying. I woke up outside maybe 30 seconds later with people fussing over me.

The weird part was that I didn't really feel disgusted, more like intrigued but I guess my young subconsciousness saw it better to call it a day.

I have never blacked out before. I hope I never do. A majority of the time I am a careful person so I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I have not, but back when I was in 5th grade, I was with my friend at the playground and he slammed his knee into a rail. After a minute he lost consciousness and our teacher had to carry him over his shoulder to the nurse's office. lol

Chewedmint : Owch that sounds really painful, I have broken bones and had some black bruises and a whole bunch of severe cuts and other problems but I have never lost consciousness or blacked out before by a natural cause other than riding the intimidator at king's dominion. So that was like 8 years ago for you? I have broken my arm and foot before but never blacked out. Pretty weird.

I am pretty careful about this sort of thing and I don't take big risks that will get me hurt or sick or in danger of anything or my health. I like to make good decisions and I don't do any sports where getting slammed around and blacking out is a big problem. So those are the precautions I take to avoid this from happening in the first place.

Well, to answer your question, yes, I have blacked out before, or fainted. Once, it was an extremely hot day, and I had no drinks with me. And I had to walk lots and lots of blocks to reach a certain store because I had to buy something for my project at school. And then when I came back home, I fainted, and I woke up with a cold bottle of water in my mouth and my friend waking me up. It was a weird feeling but I was glad that I was ok. Hope it doesn't happen again. lol

A few times.

Once was due to blood pressure dropping too low after having bloods taken. Bit weird to come to and hearing the nurse in a muffled voice asking my friend about making sure that my trousers are loose. My first thought was actually "this isn't the position I remember my body being in".

Another major incident was when I blacked out in the middle of a road in central London (of all the places). I don't remember walking into the road but I do remember my friend pulling me out of the road and looking absolutely horrified. That was more to do with blood sugars because I felt fine after coffee with enough sugar to kill.

I now carry dextrose tabs in my handbag and I've never had a major problem since. Learning to recognise the signs of lowering blood sugars is helpful in this.

Mr. Zed : You are very lucky to not have blacked out before, thankfully this hasn't happened to me either.

Carnas : In the middle of a street, oh my gosh that is horrible to hear that, I am glad that you are okay  though, that sounded really dangerous. I am glad that your friend saved you though. Thank goodness I don't have that sort of problem with blood sugars, glad to know you are okay though.

mohammedroxx3 : It makes sense that it was on a hot day. Most of the time that seems like the completely normal and common way of passing out from heat exhaustion Summer was brutal for me and I am outside all the time and thankfully I have never passed out from it.  I hope it never happens to you again

I have once. I stood up and went to turn off the lights, but before I got to the light switch, everything went black. After that I woke up on my floor and my head was hurting, I fell down and hit it on my Nintendo 64.

From recollection, I blacked out twice, due to head rushes. I was working really hard on a project on my laptop, so I was laid back, with my laptop on my chest.
When I got up, I suddenly got very dizzy, and before it, I am sprawled on my back, in pain, for a good 5 minutes, kind of out-of-it type of feeling. I must have hit my head on my chair when falling down. This happened twice unfortunately.

I have, but only once before purposely.  But, little did I know that it can make you DIE.  I did that tricked where you bend over and make yourself get light headed by breathing into your heart.  After a few minutes, I  would quickly get back up and squeeze my shoulders.  Then, someone told me I could die from doing that.  So, I'm not doing that again...

I have blacked out only once in my life. I was in 4th grade, and I got pushed near the slides on the playgrounds, on kid hit my on head as I was falling, and I was out for around 2-3 minutes. Both the kid that pushed me and the one that hit me were apologizing for around 10 minutes, and I got a small headache afterwards, but besides that I was fine.

Nope, I've never blacked out. My brother, however, does this quite frequently.
