Ah, Toejam and earl, They are in my honest opinion one of the most underrated Sega series of all time, I mean just look at them! They only got three games in total! And we all know that Is not alot. We got toejam and earl one for the Sega genesis, We got toejam and earl two for the Sega genesis, And then in 2002, we finally got a third chapter to the whole series! The only thing though Is, Is this game going to be a complete hit like the first two games in the series? Or Is this game going to be a huge flop? Let's find out shall we? This is Toejam and earl 3:Mission to earth for the original xbox, Let's get started shall we?

Story-7/10
The opening for this game actually made me laugh alot! But anyways, The game opens up with toejam, earl, and a brand new character named latisha filming a documentary on life on their planet, The only thing is that toejam really can't concentrate because he is filming the camera on latisha's butt the whole time, But after that, Toejam earl and latisha are suddenly warned by their friend Lamont that someone has secretly stolen their twelve scared albums of funk! These things are really important to the gang, It seems to be that they have been stolen by an evil lord named anti-funk! So now you know what the story is, One question, Will the gang recover all the records in time? Let's find out!

Gameplay-8/10
Toejam and earl three plays alot like the previous two games in the series, Except there are now three new playable characters this time around! You have toejam, the agile fast steady and quick leader of the group, You?have big earl, the muscle of the group, And last but not least, you have latisha, a new female alien with attitude. It is your jo to help the gang adventure through each of the game's vast worlds, The controls are pretty simple, You move the left thumbstick to control your character, You use the right thumbstick to move the camera, You press A to jump, X to attack, And Y to interact. But anyways! Each world of this game connected by a hub world, Each of the game's many levels will have you doing various tasks, such as collecting items, defeating baddies, and most importantly, Collecting the scared albums of funk! Each level also has a key, which will grant access to the next level. The gang will be collecting various items and presents in their quest, and these presents include health pickups, spring shoes, rocket boots, and so on! The tasks in each level get crazier and crazier as the game progresses, Most levels have you defeating pesky earthlings, using the rocket shoes to get to certain areas, or just getting to the end of the level in general! The gang will also be defeating tons of bad guys in their quest! And these guys include cheerleaders, dentists, and all sorts of crazy earthlings! At the end of each world you will have to fight a boss fight, Let It be the anti funk, a huge crazy chicken, or any other kind of boss, These guys are still pretty tough! So be careful here. The game uses scoring system as well, In which as you defeat enemies, they will drop star points, which will THEN increase your score! Once you collect a certain amount of points, you can go to this guy and he will give you a health bar boost, OR an extra life! And other stuff, anyways, That is It for the gameplay!

Graphics-8/10
This game was released in 2002, and at the time, Nintendo Sony AND Microsoft were putting their consoles to the test by releasing crazy and wacky platformers for their consoles! Gamecube had Mario sunshine, PS2 had Ratchet and Clank, And the XBOX had this game. Never the less, this game still looks pretty good after all these years! The game mostly has the same distinctive toejam and earl feel, which is a plus! But anyways, each and every level in this game is big, vast, bright, cartoony, and just bursting with color! Each level Is just filled and brimmed with stuff to do and items to collect, Keys, points, records, and so on! Now for the characters, they are pretty good as well! You have toejam and earl, the two main funky heroes of the game, And then, You have latisha, a blue female alien who is brimming with attitude! The levels are what amaze me, Levels in this game take place In the grass, in the desert, In the snow, and so on! The HUD in the game is pretty self explanatory, It displays your character Icon, and their current amount of health left. Anyways, That Is It for the graphics!

Sound-9/10
I know you guys will all agree with me when I say that the sound of a toejam and earl game is without a doubt the best part of the whole entire game, and you know what? It is true! The Toejam and earl games have always been known for their bright and funky soundtrack, and this Is no exception! Each level in this game Is filled with bright, cheery, happy, and just overall catchy music that really starts to grow on you! Never once has the music gotten repetitive for my likes. Now for the sound effects, they are good as well! You have boings, sparkles, booms, and well, all sorts of other cartoony sound effects! The voice acting Is really stellar lastly, The three main characters of the game all have likable voices that never get annoying, and That Is good! You have Kirk Mchenry as toejam, You got Greg brown as earl, And I forgot who voiced latisha.

Addictiveness-8/10
The toejam and earl games have always been so addicting to me! But I don't know why though! I know! It is because of the nice easy and simple gameplay, the huge amount of stuff to do, the amazing soundtrack, and tons of other stuff that I can name! And that is why! This game was pretty fun back then, and It still is today! I will always have fun replaying levels just to find any collectibles or goodies I missed, and that really boosts up the replay value here!

Depth-8/10
Like all other toejam and earl games, there is just so much stuff to do in the game that?I really lose count of It all! Well to start off, The game's story mode is about 6-7 worlds long, so that will most likely take you about 2-3 hours to get through depending on how good you are, and every level in this game has a bunch of stuff to collect! Mostly keys, the scared albums of funk, and well, you know! There is also that system I talked about where you can trade in your points for lives, health, and other stuff, And that is pretty nifty!

Difficulty-6/10
This game shouldn't really give you that much trouble! I mean, It is just toejam and earl, So It isn't like you're going to spend three or so months on level! But anyways, the challenge level in this game is actually pretty fair to be honest! It is challenging enough to keep you playing for more then an hour, and that is a huge plus! I mean, sure some levels took me a couple of tries, But It is no problem! And Sega games are supposed to be challenging!

Oh well guys! This has officially been the end of the whole entire toejam and earl trilogy! And I want to say something before my scoring on this game, Well first, I gave this game an 8.5 because It is fun, challenging, and It offers so much stuff to do It seems like forever! So here is how I got into the series, It all started out when I brung home my all A+ report card, my parents were proud of me that they offered to get me a new genesis game, I then got sick, So I couldn't pick out my own game, My dad had to go to the store himself to do It! And when he picked this game out for me, I didn't really like It, But then I played It and discovered that this is actually one of the best genesis games I have played In a while!
