HEYA GUYS welcome to awesome month and today i am looking at one of my favorite pokemon ever shroomish but still since its awesome month i must tell you why i like this pokemon 

The reason i like this is pokemon because the first time i played pokemon ruby i got this pokemon and it stayed with me the whole way through it was one of my best pokemon and one of my most trusted 

MOVESET

At the start we get absorb...better than growl

At level 5 we get tackle...decent 

At level 9 we get stun spore this move has a 75% chance of actually hitting the target and once it does the target will be stunned for a while...this could be useful but i dont like it 

At level 13 we get leech seed this move has 90% accuracy and takes 1/16 of the targets health away every turn...once again could be useful but i dont like it take it if you want 

At level 17 we get the better version of absorb known as mega drain this grass type move has a base damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy also 50% of the damage dealt is restored to the user this is a great move take it done

Now at level 21 we get headbutt this normal type move has a base attack of 70 and has 100% accuracy and has a 30% chance of making the target flinch this is a good move so i guess i can recommend it 

FINALLY at level 23 we get our very own grass/fighting agent of awesomeness known only as Breloom...lets it awesomeness stay with you for the rest of your day 

Now right when this guy evolve it gets mach punch this fighting type move has a base damage of 40 and has 100% accuracy also it is a priority move meaning that it will almost always hit first even though this move is a little weak i can still recommend it

At level 25 we get...ugh...counter..

Relinquish:....really no cross counter...really...? OKAY alright at level 25 we get counter-

Dudley: CROSS COUNTER

Relinquish: SON OF A-

Alright counter works like this if you took damage in the turn it was used that damage adds on to counter...by the way counter has random damage if you have not been hit in this turn the problem is breloom is to fast so this move wont do much but do what you want

Now at level 29 we get force palm this fighting type move has a base damage of 60 and has 100% accuracy also this move has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target 

at level 33 we get sky uppercut my god these are starting to sound like fighting game moves this fighting type move has a base damage of 85 and has 90% accuracy this move can also hit target when they are in the air such as move like fly or bounce this is a very good move on its own but it gets even better so i say you use it 

Now at level 37 we get mind read...i dont like it use it if you want

At level 41 we get seed bomb this grass type move has a base damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy so i say take it 

Now at level 45 we get dynamic punch this fighting type move has a base damage of 100 and has 50% accuracy this is a good move but i prefer accuracy over power still take it if you want

STATS

Okay this thing stats are...similar to absol except while absol stats were pretty high and put all its power into one stat this thing stats are a little low and it still puts all its power into one stats...as you might be able to tell thats bad still lets not take my word on it,okay its first stat is its health at 60...thats pretty bad but not to the point where it cant be used,okay its attack is at JESUS WITH PORK AND BEANS A WHOPPING 130...incredible....to bad all the other stats had to suffer to get that stat,okay defense is at 80 and compared to the other stats i have to say that is pretty decent its special attack and special defense is at level 60..these stats will not have much use anyway,and finally its speed is at 70 and that is pretty good and your going to rely on that speed to help you out against slow moving targets,alright now let get to the weaknesses...5...freaking...weaknesses okay its not to bad compared to other pokemon i have reviewed but thats still pretty bad these weaknesses are flying poison fire psychic ice..3 of those are common..okay fine thats not to much of a problem and i will admit i didnt have that much trouble training this guy so...this is okay

TMS AND HMS 

OKAY guys after you see this set even you guys will have to give me some credit

Low sweep
Mach punch
Stone edge
Giga Drain 

Yep this is awesome you guys have to tell me this is awesome low sweep and mach punch are there to be your main offensive move stone edge is there to screw over flying types and also rock types and lastly giga drain is there for you to get life back...once again if you guys have a better set or just some ideas just tell me

GYMS AND RIVAL

okay dont worry guys this thing is awesome against gyms and really i am not suprised and its all because of its type if a pokemon is either a water grass or fire type most of the time there going to be good in gyms shroomish however might be...a little tough to take to gyms not to say that its bad im just saying that if you dont have a back up team...you might be screwed,anyway breloom with be effective against your rival but once again only if you have a back up team and its not because the rivals a.i is more thought out and complicated its because all rivals in ANY pokemon game have a huge variety of pokemon types so i'm just saying exercise caution because this guy cannot do everything on his own as always trainers are nothing i have said it a million times trainers are just a nuisance not a threat now should you take this thing to the elite 4...no sorry but it took me 6 times to finally beat them which is also the point you see the elite 4 is not meant to be beat when i am testing this is just a final test for the pokemon because when i am constantly losing that when more of the pokemons problems appear but still this guy is not that good in there it is fast but and it does have the power to beat them but there are just to many weaknesses to this guy that can be exploited in there but still do what you want

Final rating:oh breloom...i might have been wrong about you your not a bad pokemon its just that...you have not aged well thats all granted you have some good moves in your set some wonderful tms and you rock in gyms but i cant take stats like the ones you have and your weaknesses are going to be a problem all in all you not a terrible pokemon but your not a great one either i would rather go with sceptile nothing personal old friend nothing personal

I never take the time to catch and train a Shroomish in Emerald, but after reading this, maybe I should

I always choose Mudkip as my starter, so it's a bit annoying taking these things out.

Another move set you can consider for Breloom is:

Substitute
Focus Punch
Stone Edge
Mach Punch

By no means is this the absolute ideal move set, but it is another option. The move set you posted is great as well.

Sidewinder : I actually have used it in Emerald quite a few times and it is not bad but would not suggest it with a team that has Treeko or Torchic just because typing makes no sense. Personally the more I play Emerald and Ruby and Sapphire the less I end up using Shroomish. I usually use it every time until around after the 3rd gym just because I prefer Hariyama over Breloom and Breloom after the 3rd gym kind of takes a little break from the main lineup until Petalburg which by the time you are there Hariyama is much stronger and more effective. I personally have been told that I should use Breloom in game more since it is a very good Pokemon to use and I have been told this by a few of my friends who are competitive players.
