Well, this is a bit of a funny thread were we try to figure out how the fire usernames work. So I'm right now going to say some things that I have seen about the fire usernames. And if you guys know anything else about it, then go ahead and reply. Here I go:

1. So at certain days, The fire usernames are enabled or disabled. To know whether it is enabled or not, look at his profile -> https://www.vizzed.com/boards/profile.php?id=307553

If his username is Italic and on fire then the fire usernames are enabled for today, if his username is Italic but not on fire, then the fire usernames is disabled for today. If this inactive user ever logs on to vizzed, then his username might go back to normal and we won't be able to know if the fire usernames are enabled or not.

2. To get a fire username, the fire usernames must be enabled for today (obviously), your username must be Italic first, and then you must be the most active user who posts in a quick amount of time with a high amount of posts for that day. And if you keep posting, you will eventually get a fire username. More than one user can go on fire for the day if they are close to the most active user that is already on fire.

Yea... Thats the only 2 things I know about this. I'm not sure if I'm completely right but I might be. Now, if you guys know anything else, go ahead and post here. Thats all. lol.


 

mohammedroxx3 : Well, I don't think so. I know that it is always on but when someone else if on fire, then speedy if off. I think that if you have 40 posts in 2 hours or 50 in 3 hours then you will become ignited.

My name was on fire yesterday, me tgags were trying to find out what it was all about. I am willing to believe you but I don't know why Speedy has his name on fire all the time. More worrying he has less than -2000 viz, how is that even possible??!

I was on fire once, but I didn't really pay attention to how many posts I had.

MechaMento : I'm summoning you because you went on fire yesterday. But yours was weird. Mecha hadn't been on for a few hours and his name just randomly went on fire.

Well, if your username was on fire yesterday (I didn't see it though because I probably wasn't online yesterday when the fire came), then that means speedy was also on fire yesterday but I didn't look at his username yesterday though so I'm not sure. Before when I tried to get a fire username, I was only able to get it when speedy was on fire. Same with SuperCrash64. 

MechaMento : Speedy's username is on fire because he must have went on a huge posting spree before he went inactive. And your username will stay Italic if you never log on to vizzed again after you were just on a posting spree and the same happens with fire usernames I guess.

And then again, I've seen people on fire who haven't even logged in for months....

I saw this has a guest, but surely it wouldn't matter if I was viewing the site logged in or as a guest?

How long do the fire usernames last? 

Yeah, speedy is strange and only David knows why he is on fire. ( and maybe geeo and tRUINE )

Sidewinder : Normally for the rest of the day. I think.

Singelli : I noticed that if someone gets an Italic username, it stays with them forever unless if they were to log on to vizzed the next day. But if they get an Italic username and never log on to vizzed again, then it might stay. The same may happen with fire usernames.

I might be wrong and I sound a bit confusing. lol. So let me say an example: Lets say user1 were to go on a posting spree and get an Italic username. And then he never logs on for the next day, then his Italic username might stay with him. But once he logs on, it will go away. The same may happen with the fire usernames.

zelda2 : Thats true, lol. Though his username is always Italic. At some days, his username is Italic, and in other days, its both Italic and on fire.

So I'm guessing he must of went on a huge posting spree before he went inactive therefore at the days the fire are enabled, he would automatically go on fire as long as he doesn't log on vizzed. Ehh... and again. I'm still not completely sure.

I like how people try to understand this whole fire thing. But back to point, I agree that gonzales' profile is a little glitchy. Like Zelda said, he left before the fire stuff. Still his name is on fire+italic. You say it's from a posting spree right when he logged of forever. However, would that really be the case? And I really doubt that's why fire is on or off. It could be because no one classified for a fire username at that day or that time. + his name isn't ALWAYS italic and there's times where fire is active without him being on fire.

But still, in the end, I agree on Simon being somehow tied into this vizzed fire. And I agree that it has to do something with posting.

Good guesses. Some actually makes sense. However, I've been on fire while Speedy wasn't, and italicized when he didn't have any special variation on his name. It's a little hard to wrap your head around. But, I see what you all mean.

But, I'm sure David has another system other than Speedy. If Speedy's profile isn't the key, then all of the arguments in this thread are shot down.

FunnyFurret : Well, looks like today, speedy's username is Italicized but not on fire. And no one seems to be on fire today, yet. And yesterday, speedy's username was on fire and was Italic, and someone else also got on fire yesterday and he made 100 posts in a day. And today, thephantombrain made even more than a 100 posts and he is not on fire yet.

And again, we could all be wrong. lol. But it doesn't matter that much. I doubt we're ever gonna know how this exactly works.

Update to being on fire - I checked in at Vizzed last night about 10:15 PM and then went to work and no fire. My friend Mistress left a comment on my profile at 12:26 AM that my name was on fire. Two more comments verified this fact until 5:29 AM. When I got home from work and checked in at Vizzed my name was no longer on fire. The time was 7:30.

More facts - My last post was yesterday at 1:55 PM but I actually hit 'official posting spree' shortly after NOON. I was the first and only person to hit 100 posts yesterday.

My Theory - If you are the first person with an italicized name (still haven't figured out how this happens) to hit 100 posts on a given day, exactly 12 hours later your name will catch fire. Not sure if Speedy is just a glitch and not sure how long it lasts or if it's possible to extend it by staying over 100 posts...
