This is pretty basic stuff like all of my polls on the board. What do you think would happen if Charles Martinet died? For my answer, I would say the voice actors would be unprofessional. I mean, Charlie voices the baby Mario brothers, the bros, and the Wario bros. Nintendo is screwed if he dies. Miyamoto would just hire terrible voice actors, and Mario games wouldn't be really special. However if it was old age that kills Charles Martinet, then by then, the world would just be Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty, Call of Duty, Call of Duty. Nintendo would probably be out of business and getting a Retro console would be 5x harder. What do you guys think?

I think the same thing you said about hiring not-as-good voice actors to replace him and also I think Nintendo would probably start re-using some voices from previous Mario games and slightly edit them.

I'm guessing Nintendo will be die out, because they don't have the voice actor for probably their most popular franchise. OR, Nintendo gets new voice actors, but all the fanboys hate them, and it's the fanboys that buy the games, meaning the outcome is still the same. If Nintendo is somehow able to get good voice actors, then Nintendo will continue operating the same.

I think that if Charles Martinet dies, they would hire a person who could just to an impression of Charles Martinet's Mario voice, nothing more, and the kids would not even realize it.

I think his death would bring to an end one of the best video game voice actors.

as its been said, im sure nintendo has some sort of plan for when that happens

the mario franchise may not live as long as charles
i mean look at the mother series
it lasted from 1989 to 2006, release-wise that is
i mean, yeah people still play the mother games
and theres even a fan made mother 4 to be released this winter
but thats still only bout a 20 year life span
granted that marios first appearance was in donkey kong in 1981 but voice actors werent really used then
so far mario has lasted a good 30 years
no one can be too sure how long it'll last

didya guys know that charles martinet actually crashed the auditions for voicin mario?
he was asked to do an italian accent til he ran outta things to say
he even made such an impression that his tape was the only one sent to nintendo

Besides being a tragic day, I would think that Nintendo probably has a back-up plan. Re-using and editing old clips, or even hiring actors to do so. I mean, there are a lot of people that can imitate all of Charles's voice exactly, maybe Nintendo already has someone in mind.

Maybe Mario will just die out before Charles does. Nothing last forever, no matter how hard you try.

Charles is probably the only person in the entire world that can do the Mario voice without sounding like an idiot. because he is the Mario voice.

If he died, that would be sad. I suppose the world would probably collapse upon itself, seeing as Charles is what the Earth revolves around... Or maybe Nintendo would have tryouts or something.

PixelBrick : That will be a catastrophe if he dies. Miyamoto can just make a dialogue box for Mario and finde a voice actor for him. Charles also wanted to voice Link but Miyamoto said that he will never have a voice.

Yeah I think it would probably be a tragedy for Nintendo and I am sure they would have some special day or occasion to remember it every year if it did happen. I am sure they could probably just reuse and recycle all of his other old voice clips, honestly I don't think it would be that much of a problem considering mario doesn't say a whole lot, aside from like 3 things. Sure the voice behind the mario we all know and love wouldn't actually be there, but I am sure people would hate it even more if someone else were to take his place. So that is why I think they would resort to using his old voice clips if this were to ever happen. 

Well, they probably have other voice actors but since Charles Martinet added so much fun in the games it would be a sad day. I think that Nintendo would make a special day to tribute his life or a special event in one of their games.
