People barely know about this game and for good reason, because this game was released at the end of the Genesis lifespan but this game is considered a hidden gem on the genesis. Back in 1991 Ristar began as a concept for Sonic as a rabbit who grabbed things with its ears but Nayoto Oshima made the sonic we know today. But that's not to say the rabbit concept was forgotten, in fact this character was given separate development and character changes. (the ears became arms and the rabbit became a star) And thus Ristar was born for the Sega Genesis and Game Gear. The story is that a evil warlord named Kaiser Greedy has enslaved the universe and captured the "Legendary Hero" leaving the universe helpless. The populace of the planet flora make a plea for help and the call is answered by the hero's own son Ristar. Controls are simple, press A to jump and B and C to grab objects or enemies. The music is fantastic and ironically uses the same music engine as Sonic 1 on the genesis. Overall I think this is a nice end to the genesis and it's a shame that this character never gets brought back. Because of his connection to Sonic, Ristar has been rereleased on various SEGA and Sonic Compilations such as the Sonic Mega Collection And the Sega Genesis Collection.

It's short and to the point and some people like that. I would have liked more detail as to why you gave each individual rating but thanks for letting me know about this game.
