As joebab said, Genesis is romeved due to licensing issues, GameBoy Color works though.
collinj13, try installing/updating Java.
Go to http://java.com/ click "Do I have Java?" and then click the "Download Java Now" button if it shows up.
The games should work fine with up to date Java.

A new Genesis emulator will be added to the site within a week.

Also, a new Game Boy / Color Emulator will be added within a week. This will not only play games the previous emulator doesn't, but it will also play the B&W Game Boy games in color. It'll also prevent fix the graphical issues with some of the games people are having.

I remember when I played my pokemon red game in a GBC handheld, it had a basic colour pallette as opposed to being black and white. So yes, to an extent there is colour in GB games.
