Do you play Magic The Gathering?

I've been playing Magic for the last year and a half at my local comic book store, and it's a blast to play with other people.

I began playing Magic: The Gathering about the time the Fallen Empires expansion came out. That was during the 4th set rules sometime in '95. I still have some of those cards but a lot of them were "assimilated" by "friends". One of the oldest cards I still have is:

I stopped collecting and playing for quite a while but got back into it shortly before the 8th set came out. I was one of those people that was quite upset that they changed the rules so that you couldn't play with anything below 8 in a local tournament. Anytime you tried some NOOB would cry "Hey, that's illegal!" So, I spent years collecting and hundreds+ on those cards and all of a sudden they were obsolete. I have never played again...sad but true. I really enjoy giving a smack down too.

Nope. I don't. I never really liked it because I would always find it instead of Pokemon.
