First off, I will just get this out of the way. I know that this is just, yet another, Pokémon Emerald review. So, now that I have said that, I hope that you will enjoy my review!

Overall: I would give this game a 9.4 in the overall section for the game. Why you ask? Well, I would say that there are wonderful parts to this game and there are also, some not so wonderful parts to the game. I do understand that you will have different opinions about the game then I do, but I hope that this will be a good review to read. So, the overall of the game. This game has the perfect balance of both story, and difficulty. Both of these you will read about later in the review, but I will touch on them here. The story, is a really great part about it, it is nice and long, and it doesn't have any gaps in the story where you are left to wonder what happened. The Difficulty, what I will say about it here, is that the game is one of the rare games that you can complete, and that makes it great! So, you can read more about that farther down, and I will now move on.

Graphics: I would give this game a really great rating for the graphics, so I will give the game a 9. Alright, so you start off with the star moving across your screen. From there, a drop of water slides off of a leaf in to a small pond of water, and it ripples. The thing about this is that it is executed just perfectly. It moves smoothly and it just looks great. Look through the rest of the game, it runs very, very smoothly, when you play the game, it just blows you away at what they can do at the time. Now look at the start of battles between Pokémon Fire Red and Pokémon Emerald, you can see the wonderful gliding that the graphics take to make it so much better than it was in Pokémon Fire Red. The game creators really knew what they wanted to really improve and they knew what they wanted to just improve a little. Look at it and you can tell that the graphics section is one section that they had their mind set on improving.

Sound: Well, I will say that the sound for the game is, well, it is OK. So, you see that the sound was good compared to every other Pokémon game up to it, but I will say that they focused more on the graphics then they did with the sound, so for the sound, I will give the game an 8. I will say that there are some good sound bits in this game, and there are also some not so good parts. As an example, the battle music for the trainers an almost every route is awesome, it has a nice sound it is flows really well. One example of one that is not so good, is the first route that you go on. It doesn't exactly sound too good and it doesn't have a very good flow to it. Because there are those flaws to it, I will not give it a perfect score, but I will give it an 8.

Addictiveness: Well, this game I will say is pretty addicting. I will give the game an 8 because of how addicting it is. I give the game this score because it is a really fun game to play! You see, when you pick up a Pokémon game to start, you will want to keep playing the game until you are strong enough to make an impression on all of your friends, and that is kind of how it goes. This game really isn't any different. You pick it up and you start to play. Hours later you are caught looking up at the clock and seeing how much time has passed. I mean, Pokémon games just reel you in and you just can't get loose.

Story: The story for this game is, OK. That is why I give it an 8. So, many people know the story of EVER Pokémon adventure game ever made. You are a boy or a girl who just turned the magic 10 years old so you can now go out and start your adventure in the world of Pokémon. What you do is you go pick your first Pokémon, and then you go throughout the game to catch all of the Pokémon and to train them to their full potential! This, however, isn't all that there is. There is also the main plot of team Aqua and Team magma and their constant fighting to either expand the land portion of the earth, or to expand to the water/ocean section of the world. Both of the teams thought that this would make the world "better". Sorry guys, but it doesn't make the world better.

Depth: I think that all Pokémon games are mostly the same for this category. I will give this game a 10 for this for a few reasons. My first reason being that the game is HUGE! You have a big world that you need to travel all over and beat every trainer along with catching every Pokémon that you can find there. That point brings up my second point. There are 360 Pokémon, more or less, that you have to catch and train to level 100 in order to truly "Complete" the game. Just catching every Pokémon is hard, but when you have to train all of the Pokémon up to level 100, that is the part that will make you go crazy. it takes a lot of time to do this. Then I have my 3rd point to make. My 3rd point is that you have to beat the elite 4 and the champion. That is not easy and it does take a while to accomplish. But, those are some of the things that make the game so much better!

Difficulty: Well, Pokémon game in all, are not exactly too hard. I mean, you do train Pokémon to beat the game, but it is not too hard. That is why I give this game a good 5. A 5, is not a bad rating, I mean, it means that the game is just a natural game, which, in reality, is a really good difficulty rating to have! It is a fun game to play, and it is not too hard to get you mad so you stop playing!
