Introduction:
Hey reviewers and readers everywhere, today I am reviewing another game for the Atari 2600. So have any of you played pacman before? You know that"classic ghost chasing/ghost/coin eating game." Well if you did you had memories of doing that. Now I never had the intention to think"What if pacman had some rival games or some games that are similar to it." but Actually there were some games, that intended on doing so. There were few of these games, that were considered"knock offs or clones of pacman" Speaking of which here is one of them. Jawbreaker for the Atari 2600. A game very similar to pacmans game style, in so many ways possible, you will find out what I mean, now on to the review.

(Game play:
The game play of jawbreaker, is very similar indeed to pacmans game play style, because Just like pacman, you end up trying to collect these square or coin things, but this time you avoid jawbreakers? Now I understand like in real life, jawbreakers can hurt you're teeth, can be hard to chew and what not, but Trying to run from them... Awkward. And just like pacman you can collect power ups, to eat the enemies, and make them go away for a short while. Once that is done you move on to the next area, so on and so forth.)

Graphics:
The graphics of this game, aren't too bad for an Atari 2600 game, because it has some parts that look better then some other games on the Atari 2600, that I've reviewed.

(Main characters/sprites:
The sprite characters intend to feel very weird, Now in this game, you start out as some kind of teeth, now I've felt comfortable playing pacman, and that's mainly due to pacman being a cartoon type of thing, or just having a cartoonist style to his games, Just playing as teeth in general feels very weird, now that's probably because, I've never gotten used to playing as teeth in a video game before, and just because this just mainly creeps me out a lot, and Some animation was directly copied or done the same way as pacman, for example: When you die as the teeth, you're teeth doesn't break or ake, instead you die in a rotation that vanishes(Just like pacman does) The jawbreakers are also designed pretty weird too, they have some unfinished or weird face designs, like they have eyes and a smile on their face, as if they were some kind of custom colored pumpkins, another thing that was similar to "pacman" in terms of graphics, is that when the enemies are affected by the power up( that you get during the game) they start getting a faded color, and then they start flashing when they recover.)

(Level/area designs:
The only difference, that I can spot within this game, is the animated parts of the levels, The main animation of the levels is the side scrolling floors, The texture of the floors aren't too bad, but one thing I really like, is how much more polished looking, then this game looks then on the pacman games for the Atari 2600, and that's because the floors have some more neat and better renders, don't take my word for it. You can look at the games themselves, I can see a more complete and more detailed difference.)

Overall total Graphics rating get's a five out of ten.?

Sound:
the variety of sound effects aren't too bad, Because they kind of sound alright, from what I know this sounds like the same bloops used to make some of the sounds on the pacman games, the sound effects are pretty clear sounding, that's all I can really say.?
(Soundtrack: N/A no soundtrack, just like a lot of Atari games.)?

Overall Sound rating: six out of ten

Addictiveness:

I don't really enjoy this game all that much, because really in general I'd prefer pacman any day over this similar jawbreaker game, my main addictiveness would be the challenge of having to collect the blue squares and while avoiding the jaw breakers, and eating them.

Overall addictiveness rating five out of ten.

Story:N/A
No story found within this game, it's just a basic eating side scroller. Nothing other than that.

Depth:
Like a lot of simple games like this one, This one is basically repeative, and has a whole lot of levels, the depth is gonna be based on how long you last during each level"Aka" not get eaten. This game is basically like pacman"aka" mean't to be enjoyed for hours on end.
Overall depth rating: ten out of ten.

Difficulty:
This game has quite a bit less challenge then some other games I've played. For example: Some enemies are some what easy to pass through at the first level, but then it get's more and more challenging later on, and Not to mention I'm not very good at games like these, I usually end up getting killed at like the first or second level.

Overall difficulty rating I personally think this will get a six out of ten.

Overall this game isn't too bad. Overall rating 8.6

Another great review done by you. It looks quite professional actually, you have it broken down well and you also have a nice introduction to your review which makes it that much better. You have a lot of information in your review as well which is always useful as well.

The only thing is I think you could of said a bit more for graphics, but it isn't a big deal, they can get a good idea on the quality of the graphics because you made a comparison. Overall, nice descriptions and a great review of the game. I like the reasons you gave for why you scored each part of the game. Keep up the awesome work and keep making more great reviews!

Eniitan : Definitely give it a shot. It is one of the best Pac-Man clones out there that you can play.
