Wont spoil it but it's insanely fascinating. 10 or so years from now with this technology is perfected, obtaining information about anything will take only seconds on the fly.

Holy cow! This is incredible! Now we're really starting to enter the high-tech age! Wow, I can't seem to find the words as to how amazed I am!

this is really awesome. It's going to be one of those things that once you get used to it, it will be extremely useful.

However, I think there is going to be a lot of controversy revolving around this technology as well. I think some people will feel like it gives people too much access to information. It obviously uses facial recognition software which means that you would be able to access any public information on a person as you meet them, or as you walk past them in the street.

Yeah invasion of privacy becomes an issue but people would also be responsible for adding their face to the programs facial collection though and perhaps they'd be able to set their own information as private. A lot of possibilities with it though but it'll be a long time before it's perfected and distributed.

Oh boy... well to be honest I'm against the idea. The more advanced technology is the more it has against you. When this comes out, you can bet yourself identity theft and fraud will skyrocket. I enjoy my privacy and I can think for myself, never let technology do all the work for you or you will become dumber and dumber as the days pass.

Probably has RFID chips in them too, do you even realize how much of an invasion of privacy that is? People would know your exact location at anytime and you are practically feeding a massive scale database information that can be misused at anytime.

Sure there might be privacy options, but what good is that when it's linked into a feed of endless information. People internally can track everything you do. Sorry but I've been warned about this kinda stuff happening and I'm definitly staying away from it. Cool yes but not for me.

I'm not adding my finger prints, eye scans, and so forth to a massive database only to be tracked and monitored like a prison inmate but others can if they want.

I can bet you anything this device will be the mark of the beast, the mark we have all been warned about.

If people keep making technology like this, there very well may be a war between man and machine. Seriously, think about it.

Government has computers that think for themselves. What if there was a glitch? What if the computer wanted total power? It could, very well, launch nukes to kill us, lock down the government, etc.

I know that what I'm saying is a bit farfetched, but you can get the point.

No ras you are 100% right, I've seen robots with better reaction skills then any animal or any human seriously look at how advanced this robot is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gi6Ohnp9x8&feature=related , and to think government has years on us comparred to consumer products is scary.

And to think we are getting closer to Minority Report just makes me feel so much safer knowing we can be framed and arrested before we commit crimes. Sounds nuts but it's where we are headed.

Jesus, that is insane, and not the good kind either. And organic dog would've fallen down. That's a robot. It's sad to see where we're going. We're relying more and more on technology. If the technology falls under enemy control, we're royally screwed.

The technology might be kind of cool, but it's unnecessary and quite frankly, scary. It has to stop somewhere. If many of the functions are limited, this could be ok. However, there's too much that it could do to harm society

GAH! Now that you mention it, we could be really heading towards disaster! I'm not sure about you guys, but I think I can clearly see a robot war heading our way if this keeps up. I hate to say it, but perhaps they have even more advanced stuff than that walking gun and ammo carrier? I think that's what it was, I'm not sure, but either way, a lot of the stuff in fiction maybe coming true.

And also, might I point out as this thought just occurred to me while I'm typing here, but perhaps these advanced technology and robotics developments, are what's been eating up the economy. Now that this has come to light, I think the government has been eating up billions of money, in these robotic projects. This about it, robotics, isn't, cheap, so where are they getting the money? From us, civilians, they're eating up our money, getting a lot of people and companies out of jobs, making us poor, and for what? Weapons of mass destruction, that's what!

I pity those who have dedicated their lives into building this stuff. If there's anyone who they should have taken money from, it should have been from Holly Wood, not us! I never really liked the government much before, but now I don't like em even more! Sorry if I'm posting hate, but I realized a horrible truth probably.

I don't exactly think that this is all government funded stuff. I mean, the government probably wouldn't be too happy about people being able to walk around with cameras that are constantly filming everything

I wasn't talking about the camera stuff, I meant the military stuff. But either, I think something that involves major funds for development, could be anything, is eating up the economy. All I know is, really huge projects, eat up a lot of money, ones that I don't think that ever help out with anything really, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems a bit to coincidental to me that we reach 2009, and we reach an economy crisis, and then BOOM! Out pops these projects that would eat up insane amounts of money to develop.

One company can't eat up all of our money. Though I do think that anyone putting money into this project should reconsider. I do agree that it must be very expensive and that funding has to come from somewhere, and I believe that there may be other companies with similar technology being made.

That is an amazing product, but Tim Arnold has a good point on it.

But I think it can be adjusted for more legal uses to make people happy. Looks like it needs to be a bit more fluid but I'm sure as time goes and the research gets better it will be a very nice product, I also think it will be common.

I for one do not want my mistakes visible to anyone who shells out 350 dollars to get a chest mounted camera and projector.
