For me it's either Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Unleashed(360). The Werehog isn't that bad; but he sucks on the Wii.

For me, proabaly Sonic Adventure 2. It was an awesome game, and it was made at the height of Sonic's glory. Between Adventure 2 and Unleashed, for some reason, there were a lot of fan-hated games, like Heroes and Sonic '06. Sonic'06 would be my second favorite 3D Sonic game, I love that game, and Heroes is pretty flippin' cool, too. I don't understand why a lot of fans hated them.

If Shadow the Hedgehog counts then I'll say that, purely because it's one of the few 3D "Sonic" game I have played for any extended period of time.
If I can't choose that I'll say Sonic Heroes, for the same reason as above (even though I only played this for 10 mins).
I never really got into the 3D Sonic games, they are not as good as the 2D ones.
