I love playing Skyrim, and my goal is to play through the game with every possible combination of races and classes. I know it will take a long time to do each one, but it seems like fun. I would like to hear what all of you think are the best combination of the two and why. Personally I have an affinity for Mages, and the best race to be for a good mage is either a High Elf or Bretton. Well, in my opinion at least. So please tell me what you all think.

I always play as an Argonian Spellsword in the Elder Scrolls games. The ability to throw fireballs at one enemy whilst slicing at another, or healing whilst fighting something huge is just awesome.

 I love to play as an Argonian. I have this whole soul reborn from a dark criminal life to a mostly noble life fantasy in my head and the Argonians play to it very well. I like spend my time pretty equally between being an Archer and a Mage. But, I probably spend more time as an Archer if I had to call it. I love using bows in games these days! Thanks in large part to Ubisoft and Far Cry 3.

When it came between both oblivion and shyrim I was always a Khajiit Archer with my sneak and lockpicking maxed as far as I could get it. Then I would go hunting and steer away from the quest line just to run around and be a sneaky thief.

I love to play as all of the beast races (Orcs, Kajiit, Argonian) but I prefer the Kajiit. I like to change the classes to fit the race when I make a new character. This makes it feel more like a classic experience from the days of old. However I will defect to the Aldmeri Dominion if I feel like being a mage in any form.

I haven't played as very many races or classes yet, but so far, I enjoy Khajit Assassins more than anything else. I love being able to sneak up behind someone and get rid of them before they can attack me. It also makes stealing very easy. XD

My current Character Is a Redguard Thief, he has excellent one-handed ability plus my sneak, lock picking and pick pocketing. The only not so thief thing about him is that he has a high heavy armor level. But I have an Ebony Mail that when I'm in sneak mode turns me into black smoke and when people get near me in battle it poisons them.

And there I was thinking I was the only one that did that. But usually I "hunt" guards. You just gotta love killing guards, and the sneak attack sound is so satisfying, I love it.

My favorite class to play as is normally a pure mage without any non-magical abilities. I choose High Elf for it because of the affinity to magic they always have. It's kind of fun to play the game without weapons at all. Leads to more strategy and use of tactics since I need to keep my magic bar up while also getting rid of the enemies around me. I normally tend to use a high level fire spell and a Dremora Lord for crowd clearing though. Along with a few illusion spells to get in stealthily and make enemies easier to kill.

Archery is fun at times and the magic is interesting, but in my opinion nothing beats strapping on heavy armor, grabbing a two handed weapon, and charging through dungeons like a crazy person. Nords and Orcs are what I usually do when I play this style.

I usually play using Wood Elf (Bosmer) because it's great race if you want to move in the shadows and kill enemies before they can see you. Best race for marksmanship if you like to use bows. But I got tired of using bows, makes the game too easy. So I just sneak using 2 daggers/knives and cut their throats. Or I use some illusion spells to make some chaos upon the enemy.

Never really liked to play using pure warrior class, it's just so boring to slice and dice every opponent you see.

And sometimes if I make mage type character I almost every time pick Breton and use Conjuration spells and some destruction magic. And of course Alteration spells for armor and other stuff.
