Right, lets get started near the beginning (near only because I assume you know how to navigate the menu) on the character selection area. This strategy revolves around medium to fast characters such as Yoshimitsu, so stay far away from the slowest character, Gun-Jack (King is also quite fast but he is only of a moderate use because of his attacks)
The best thing to do at this point is to attack in the quickest way possible, as at the normal and easy difficulties these first few rounds shouldn't pose any threat if you don't let them swap to another fighter at any point as the first will be healing their wounds (to a point) and the second fighter will have full health.
This is where the real benefit of having faster players comes in (at around half way through). Do an attack that causes knock back for the enemy, or when you are on the floor (knocked down) roll backwards, as to be as far away from the enemy as possible.
Double tap the arrow key towards the enemy (making you sprint towards the enemy) and attack when close, punch or kick doesn't matter but kick is more advisable for slower characters, this will cause the enemy to fall down on a successful running kick (with the possibility of a large amount of knock-back depending on characters chosen) and a successful running punch will just stagger the opponent for a while. If you punched, follow it up with a flurry of quick attacks, if you kicked, follow it up with a low kick, and if your kick sent the opposition to the other end of the screen repeat the previous steps.
When one of two things happen switch out to another character, the enemy attacks or when he/she starts to block, when the new character comes on to the screen they will be running. This is why you should only switch out when the enemy is either on your side of the screen or in the middle of it as otherwise the attack won't reach. By now we have should have established the fact that we should do a running attack when ever possible , but why?
IMPORTANT:
More often than not they catch the opponent off guard, so are not blocked, the enemy is then burdened with the fact they have a lot less health and can't attack because they are either staggered or flat on their back and using this strategy their health goes down a lot more with the flurry of attacks that should follow.
Use this strategy when you start to find yourself in trouble in a tag battle and you should be fine even against the final boss clone person (I forgot his name but there are three of him. Post if you know it). This strategy guide has been brought to you by ClassicSable-eye Inc.
