Hello everyone in the vizzed community!!! My name is general spleen for those of you who don't know me and today I am posting another original poem by yours truly lol. This one is titled Just To Get High. Now the reason I named it that is because unlike my normal poems that feed off my emotions... This poem is feed by inspiration. The inspiration behind my poem is a song by nickelback titled "just to get high" hence the title of the poem. Now before I continue I must say this... I do not approve the use of any illegal substance. So don't think I do by reading this. Anyways here it is. Enjoy
Why in the world do you have to get high?
You don't need it just to get by.
Stealing everything in sight just so you can buy,
All of those useless drugs that will cause you to die.

You will be dead within a year at your current rate.
STOP SMOKING THAT BLUNT!!! You will never think straight.
All you do is sit around while people begin to hate.
And I will be honest, your becoming hard to tolerate.
All you ever do is take what you need;
From your friends and family so you can sell it for weed.
No more of this! You better take heed.
We are going to help you. We all have agreed.
We know you are thinking that we are so mean.
But just look at yourself. You have no hygiene.
It pains us to do this but we have to intervene.
And in due time you will glad you are finally clean.
Well there you have it guys and girls. My new poem that I had to re-fix and didn't turn out quite as good as I remember but it's still there. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you did please let me know via posting in this thread. Or on my wall. Preferably on here though. Much easier to respond to everybody. And please share this and my other works with others on vizzed so more people can read them. And if you all want more just let me know and I'll do my best to keep posting new ones.

bobq : haha yeah your right. I guess I did forget that word lol. And I'm glad I was able to relate to you. I was trying to make a wake up/ reality check to people who get high to open their eyes and consider doing something about it. That was my main purpose behind the poem. And I will keep them coming as long as the vizzed community wants more of them. And if the mods will keep letting me make a lot of different threads about poems lol. Btw tell boomer that I might be getting a new phone soon and that I'll message him my new number as well as you.
