I would Love to Use Dante From The Devil May Cry Series.
But
I would rather use Soul Calibur.
Remember when People complained about the Women of Video Games But Not the Men Of Golden Axe Or Magic Sword Or even W.W.F. wrestling???
Either way.
They can all stop now.
There will be a steady trend of kids or younger themed designs from here on out.
Double Standards in the U.S. were a problem that I disliked on this topic but, Thankfully Japan does not pay any mind to the U.S.
(Normally.) Now? Who knows?
But
There will be new blood spilled in the arena from here on in.
Today?
Game Developers are attempting to hook younger players all the time by altering so much that the Old core concepts are out of the window all together.
(Not just in design but also in the play itself witch is dangerous but could be healthy for business. .. that is IF it works out.)
Soul Calibur is the oddest one to try character overhauls and replacements.
Sofitia? Gone.
Cassandra? Gone.
Taki?
She's gone too.
Taki Was Replaced by the younger "Natsu".
I just Find it Funny that some of the stuff that so many had unhealthy issues with is now gone and the people who loose are the consumers and the developers.
(Odd? Not if you buy used games.)
Funny because it is by a choice of attempting to hook a younger audience.
They do not want the Fans Cash any more.?
They want the kids Money?
When it is kinda obvious that the reputation is not geared for kids.
(I'm not an expert but what parent would let their kid mess around with a device that has an Adult rep and Appeal??)
There will be more Soul Calibur games but the old fan base dropped dramatically.
I hope the 6th game can do more than 2 to 4 hours of entertainment.
Otherwise there may be no Soul Calibur 7.
But.
That too is a trend in games. "FOUR HOURS".
$60.00 Bucks for 4 hours? (And still, there's loading time.)
Trend, Trend, Trend.
What ever happened to push start and play?
The days of "If it aint broke? Don't fix it" are gone.
We are now in the world of "If it aint new? It's through."
So, expect allot more bad games or bad ideas to be on the horizon.
Even the famous "Ninja Gaiden" suffered by making a game in the series that can be completed in one day.
That's right. "Ninja Gaiden 3" made by "Team Ninja" can be completed in one day.
(Still a good game. But...)
The kids not into hard games or lengthly ones?
Who decided that with all of the 100 hour R.P.G. games that get sold on a regular basis?
What incredibly Easy Game out sold previous ninja gaidens to get developers to redesign to core concepts?
(Though I will admit I did enjoy every second of that instalment it is not worth $60.00 Dollars.)
If anyone has a solution to this growing "Trend" Problem?
I am all ears.
Currently the only thing I can think of is for everyone world wide to stop buying Games Brand New Period.
Good Luck to All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.
