That was not the answer to the riddle. The answer is that you cannot dig half a hole. Once you dig a little dirt from the ground, you have a hole. The 10ft by 10ft holes and the times were all meant to divert you from the fact that I said 'half a hole', which doesn't exist

2 friends were talking casually one day. The subject of eating eggs came up. Friend #1 made a bet that he could eat a dozen eggs on an empty stomach in a single setting. Friend #2 took that bet. So Friend #1 did not eat anything for 48 hours just to be absolutely sure he had absolutely no food in his stomach. Friend #2 brought a dozen eggs.
